Team 10

Went out Saturday to a new piece and saw 0. This season is really driving home that I need to find some property to hunt late season that still has food. It's killing me. I probably have time for one more sit this year to get us a few more points although it looks like team 5 has it wrapped up. Nice chatting with you all this season.

Anyone have post deer season plans? I'm hoping to get after some squirrels and then turkeys. I've verryyy slowly been dipping my foot into turkey hunting the past 2 years. Need to get it done this year. I also plan to fish my butt off this spring.

I plan to walk some more public for next year. I like hunting the farm, but enjoyed hunting more than the same locations. More challenge. I felt I had more opportunities this year with the saddle. But there was some learning curve that went on. Hope to take what I learned and move forward. Would like to kill one on public next year.

There's no better feeling. My first public land kill was this guy and it got me hooked to public like I imagine crack does lol. I have to drag myself back to my private spot. I still love hunting there but I've done it all my life and it's just not the same as figuring out a piece of public AND beating every other hunter.

It's was fun. Good luck to you to! I know it helped push me to hunt more. I left 5 on the table with some first year saddle learning curves. But then again I may have never been in the position to have that opportunity if I was hunting my normal fixed stand locations. Who knows. Either way it was fun.
