I sure wish. Pouring rain here in Minnesota and I think my lady and the daughter would kill me if I tried to squeeze out too many weekdays
Shot my biggest buck in the rain last year. The sad part is we never found it. I've had good luck in the rain, it seems like.Well I'm here in Iowa and getting a record rain storm here...flash flood warnings and didnt go out this morning because of lightning and thunder showers...went out at 2pm and sat till 7pm got pretty wet for the afternoon hunt but saw a doe and a couple of fawns but this spot has plenty of rubs... I'm a out 1.5 miles in on this set...local on the road told me there is a big non-typical running the ridgeline I'm hunting...thatvwas nice to here...people here in Iowa are so friendly. Well the weather is set for another day of rain tomorrow but still going out...wish me luck
I agree...some yrs ago in Michigan I shot a 166 in the rain...it was a long tedious tracking job, but i recovered him. Tracking should be as fun as the harvest...its the small hunt after the shot...Shot my biggest buck in the rain last year. The sad part is we never found it. Actually fell in the river today, got thru this morning in the dark with no problems but the strong current pushed me over on my way back today..the love of deer hunting its all good...I'm hunting in Iowa no need for complainingShot my biggest buck in the rain last year. Since the weather broke I did a all day sit. I was extremely optimistic but I only saw one spike horn at 5;48. First time with my kestrel on a all day sit and I never got uncomfortable. This spot has great potential for shooting a mature buck 5 to 6yrs old. Havent seen another hunter yet...thatscwhat happens when you cross a river with wader then ditch them in the weeds to change into my lacrosse....the weather has diffantly changed some of the patterns...I put out two cameras yesterday...and hoping to see whats back in here...keep you guys posted.Passed this boy up toniteView attachment 17637
