That looks like a doe track or young buck to me.Spent the day scouting...a deep swamp...heres what I found...no human sign here at all...plenty of cedars...its like the UP of Michigan. I found a major scrape at the bottom of a ridge and a big bed 50 yrds away...plenty of sign post rubs and a huge track I back tracked in the mud for about 3/4 of a mile which lead to two of his crossing routes. I believe he's one of those swamp bucks living in a small area, so I'm going to go back set a camera, and prep a saddle location...and wait for the right windView attachment 19091View attachment 19090View attachment 19089
Honestly it looks like a doe. I don’t know what state you are hunting but my rule of thumb is a walking or standing track that is as wide as a 30-06 shell is a 200 pound deer.
I have rarely seen a track that big compared to the size of my hand.Honestly it looks like a doe. I don’t know what state you are hunting but my rule of thumb is a walking or standing track that is as wide as a 30-06 shell is a 200 pound deer.
Theres several tracks in this picture, the buck track is hard to see, but towards the bottom right you can see his footprintThat looks like a doe track or young buck to me.
