Always gut wrenching to make a bad shot. Makes you question everything but not as bad as hitting them badly. Sounds like you will have more opportunities.

The owner of my new house didn’t hunt but put a salt block and cam out last year and had some pictures of some studs. There is a ravine with a creek running through the back part of my new property. It creates an obvious pinch point in the back corner of my property that’s the transition to a couple different wood lots that looks promising.. I need to buy a few cams. I went totally away from cams after bumping some good bucks checking them too often and messing up my spots.. cuddelink cams look cool and can check from the porch so that’s a plus.

My goal is to shoot a buck in my backyard, learn how to hunt my new farm and fill the freezer. I can get 6 in NC and 6 in VA. I’d like to get a 125 or better buck in VA

Well I got out yesterday afternoon and sat until dark. Bumped one on the way in I didn’t get a look at and one in the dark on the way out. Nothing while in the tree. It wasn’t my first choice of spots but limited with what WMAs I could pick, weather and work. I will say hurricane Laura change the way the deer are moving. It’s unbelievable how many trees are down. It makes walking in miserable.
 
Vacation canceled
6 men out. Not looking good around here!
Man I don’t want to take this crap home to my wife, kids and extended family.

My hand are burning from the sanitizer. Wearing a mask thinking about wearing 2! Lol

trying to keep everyone away from me and each other.

Whack and stack for me. Going to be tough this year again, lost a piece of property i had permission on. Going to sneak behind the neighborhood i live in and maybe get to go with some buddies. Maybe @kelly.jayp will let get his backyard buck when goes to the farm. LOL. Good luck to everyone!! Stay safe. Aim small. Miss small
 
Trying to shoot 140+ and a few does. We can get unlimited does up here. Only downside is with 2 kids under 3 I can’t be asking to go hunting all the time or the wife is not going to be happy lol.

WTH...... I’ve gotten dialed back in close, maybe even right, but I’ll check it again after a break.

At the same time I would have to say beyond the obvious problems shown above I’m apparently having issues transitioning from targets to love deer with the EZV.

Looks like the rest needs to move left or right. Have you paper tuned?
 
That was the check before I started bare shaft tuning this afternoon. Something got bumped somewhere along the line. I got it really close this afternoon and took a break. I’ll check again when I get back home and I’m fresh to make sure.

So I was looking these up last night at work they seem legit and great price point for sure.. I can’t find any Verizon ones available if any of u guys see them online let me know I want to order a couple.

Bare shafts and fletched shafts now going to the same spot. Was chasing my tail there for a while until I discovered one of my arrows was a POS. It was also one of the two I shot yesterday.

I usually then make sure broad heads and fp's are hitting the same. Sometimes I find I need micro adjustments to the rest. I usually shoot them at 40 yards and its noticeable if they aren't hitting the same spots. Glad you are getting it dialed back in!
 
Big 0 for me tonight. My learning for the evening is to not discount the possibility of adjoining private land owners from boogering a bedding area. I was expecting to see some does in this spot based on pre-season scouting only to find a trail camera and natural ground blind within 40 yards of the tree I needed to be in. 1.5 hours after I was in the tree, the husband and wife hunting pair stroll to the end of their driveway, she kisses him and wishes him good luck and then they spot me trying to flag them down to let them know I am there. It’s all good. She ended up going to the same spot as him. They were close enough that I could hear them honking the grunt call. I would guess she has hunted that area for years so I will check that one off the list for now.

They have been hard to find. Keep checking DanO I snagged his last one and found one other during the initial release. They go fast
