First hunt in my Recon Sling tonight. Got out and to my spot right down the road. One sticked up the tree and I’ve been sitting for about 10 minutes and I’m in love.... Haven’t had a chance to sight my deer rifle in so I brought the work gun in tonight.

My little sister just moved out to MN, Rochester and sent a message about it snowing yesterday. Told her we were going to hit 80 later this week. I hope to get out there one day for a little hunting/visiting
 
so as I sit here for the last hour in an on and off rain I think back to when I was packing the truck and purposely left my hooded rain jacket behind because the weather forcast said no rain until 7pm...

Yep we got a dusting yesterday too. Waaay too early for this crap! Rochester is a cool area, it's got the best of both city and country going for it. Good hunting down that way too.
 
Taking an off day myself today. Wore myself out hiking two mountain sides the last couple of days looking for fresh sign, which there wasn't. Weather is warm again today and I'm starting to question my usual areas so I'll get some yard work done and take care of family obligations to rest my body and reset my head
 
Found a hot cow oak couple of days ago while putting a couple of cameras out. Hopefully I can get on it this evening, but will probably be in the am Saturday.
