Another 13 points on the board thanks to @Wirrex !!! Good work!!!

Keep grindin' guys! @tree_ghost , are you going to add that 2nd buck for another 5 points in the doe catagory?! Way to knock em dead!

I am on a 2 week hunting vacation starting this afternoon at 3 p.m. E.S.T. until December 6th!!! I'll be hunting Maine, New Hampshire and Nantucket Island over the next 2 weeks. Maine and NH with my bow, Nantucket with my shotgun. Good luck while I'm gone guys and shoot straight! Hopefully I come back with some good stories and content to share! Be safe!

Well, the SOA hunt was another resounding success. Dad knocked down 2 and I got 4. Ever grind 5 deer in a day? I had the one from last weekend still in my fridge, so I had a pile of work Saturday. Filled 2 LEM meat lugs with ground meat and had shoulder roasts too.

I'm up to 11 deer for the year. About to have to plug in the 2nd deep freeze.

I leave for Nantucket Island Friday, last year, 8 guys, 4 days, 34 deer... I'm curious to see what I bring home... :smirk: Good numbers @Nutterbuster

New York's Regular Firearms season started Saturday, had a lot of doe action (saw 8 but no bucks) on the first morning but I heard a grunter down over the ridge and was hoping a doe would pull him back by me but to no avail. Saturday PM three does but I have trail cam pics of a decent ten on this property and am really holding out for "Double-Double" which is a deer I have not seen since the end of August but he was on this property last year too late summer and early fall but I never saw him during bow or gun seasons last year either. Sunday pm I went out and got soaked but thought I'd sit a stand that I rarely do but we had a nice east wind but I saw nothing. Today I went out on a mid- morning (8:45am through afternoon hunt. Nothing until around 1pm and I heard a long grunt and sure enough, about 60 yards a doe was being chased by a great buck. It was rain-snowing off and on since 10, my scope was fogged up and the buck wasn't standing around waiting to be shot. As I'm trying to wipe the scope lenses off two more dink bucks are headed toward the same doe...... what happened after that was spectacular!!! The big boy broke from the doe and started chasing both of the dink bucks around. Back and forth back and forth, finally the dink buck broke straight for me and I'm thinking here we go and they were moving so fast I couldn't get the crosshairs on the big boy (wish I had my 870 with red dot!!!) but just as they got into range the big buck put his head down and I literally saw him close his eyes as he jamed his rack into the hind end of that dink buck just pushing him into the brush line I was in.... it was totally amazing. Then the dink turned 90 degrees from me and headed directly away and downwind with the big bow still trying to plow him over. I was so trying to squeeze off a shot but the show was just great. Then the other dink comes back down and then nothing. I think they all got downwind of me and that was that but I heard no blowing or running. I was set up along a power line ROW at a point where several trails converge to follow a cover strip to feed fields. Bucks cruise through this area a lot during mid day and the wind was perfect from the west so I hung in this location hoping there was more rutting/fighting action coming my way but as fast as it started it ended. But that was just a great day in the woods besides getting soaked!! Anyway, I could have easily put points on the board with a doe but I'm still trying for a bigger buck! Hope you guys keep putting them down!!! Lets get some more points on the board but most of all, enjoy your hunts and experiences and stay safe!!!

Well, after trying to hold out for a nice buck and shooting two deer while not in the saddle were in if its brown its down season :p. Hopefully I can put some points up these next two weeks.
