Team 2 BB - Bambi Blasters

I’m going to be in mine just shorter stints. I’ve been weighing on it and ill just ease back into it.

What plans does everyone have for the year. I’ve got two definite trips to Kentucky maybe a third. Here at home and maybe a trip or two down east

Hey team! I'm on the board with 7 (I'll throw a ruler in that broken spike if needed, it's over an inch lol)! I won't get out again until October but I'm going to be hunting my arse off this year and hoping to continue to contribute! I'm in Maryland, where we can shoot unlimited does in my area and up to 3 bucks as long as I shoot one in gun season. Those rules haven't led to me getting many deer yet (doe last year from the ground, then this guy from the saddle on opening day) but I feel like this year is my year. We shall see, I'm looking forward to being on team 2 regardless of how it works out!

Awesome. I’ll be getting out a little later will be October mover December when I hit hard

I had plans until about a week ago. My daughter was asked to play travel soccer and my son made it on to the schools robotics team so my weekends just evaporated. It’s bittersweet. I’m super excited for them but crying over my bowstrings at the same time. I’ll get in some hang time tho no worries prolly just have to take leave during the week. Fortunately the parcels I hunt are fairly close to where I live.

I hear you on that, my Saturday mornings are kids soccer this year, and It will only get busier. Do you have any options to take time off work to go midweek? That may be my solution for the next decade or so

Oh yeah def. I’m field supervisor where I work so I set my own schedule. Next couple of weeks are stupid but they should clear after that.

Luckily for me. Spring is my kids stuff. Shooting team and dance competitions start in the spring so there is no time.

I'm headed to Alaska in a week for a fishing/hunting trip, I'll be fishing but not the shooter for this trip, will report back how it goes regardless. After that I've got basically October through the January to hunt here in Maryland, no real plans to go out of state (my parents live in PA so there's a small chance I may buy a tag and visit them up there, last time I did that was tag soup though). My mentality for this (year 3 archery hunting) is to shoot any legal deer within 30 yards. Not passing unless I see spots or have antler restrictions

Nice. My boss told me this week "I don't need to approve your time off, I just need to know when you're gone" which was an awesome and somewhat mind blowing experience, in the past at my old job I had to get approval, and get coverage on the schedule, and then there was still a chance it would be rescinded if we were busy. Needless to say it's a few years and I'm still adjusting to the new sane system

Whereabouts are you headed in AK? I’m from the kenai peninsula.
