Team 2 Thread

Weekly standings are out, feels good to continue riding these coattails, will feel better when I'm dragging a deer back to the car.

My younger kid woke up with a fever/headache/vomiting etc today and the older kid has a sore throat, so somewhat of a wrench thrown into the Thanksgiving plans younger got a covid test today, fingers crossed it's negative and this is some other bug that will pass quickly. We shall see, but likely no longer going to PA.

Hopefully just a school/daycare bug. My daughter had it a few weeks ago, actually came down with it during rifle opener but didn’t call because she didn’t want to ruin my hunt.

She had a bad 3 days, like a bad flu, and about a week to fully recover. Everyone is different, kids are resilient and I’d never presume to tell another parent how to care for their kid but for my daughter at least, I treated her as if she had a bad flu and she came through fine.

Agreed, to be honest that's pretty much the only way to handle it even if it is covid, assuming her symptoms don't take a turn for the worse. She ate dinner somewhat tonight so that's a good sign. All things will pass, and I'll get back in the woods sooner or later.

Finally got into some deer this morning. 3 came through about 15 minutes before legal light. They looked like does. Then right after legal, had a nice buck follow on their path, and another deer with him. He ended up turning and walking back where he came so no shot. Fun to see some deer though. Coming out I marked an area that was torn up with scrapes, and big ones at that!

MN_Bowhunter4 get after them.. gun season starts here on Monday. I’ll be going out to the farm and doing our traditional deer drives.. I’ll post some pics if someone knocks something good down… looking forward to hunting with my dad.

Good luck tomorrow! I saw and heard quite a few hunters for opening weekend up in PA, but wasn't able to join them. Back is feeling better, but may give it two weeks this time before risking another repeat. Looking forward to living vicariously through your pictures on here until I can get into the woods again.
