First sir for me. Only green soybeans left around… was going to sit somewhere else based of wind forecast but when I got here it was just off wind enough for me to want to risk it… this is the farm with the piebald doe… would love to see her tonight.

Haha I already called the taxidermist to get a price on getting the hide tanned… I’ve let her walk probably over 30 times, now that she has the green light she prolly will be a ghost

Good luck this weekend. I’ll be in the woods next weekend and with the leaves dropping, should be able to see and hear better.

Killing time in the tree not trying to blow this spot up… I saw 16 does and 6 bucks… 2 of the bucks I would have shot but they didn’t follow the plan… the one is pretty big.. these beans definitely have their attention… I’m stuck in the tree now as 4 of the bucks are grouped up out in front of me. It’s dark but I can hear them sparing. I have a tree down the line from me that would have made it a chip shot to shoot those deer… I can’t get back out till Monday but I’ll be in that tree waiting…

can't wait for your monday update, GOOD LUCK. i've promised the kids some extra dad time this weekend so we're doing park playdates with thier friends instead of hunting and i'll be living vicariously through you all. Next saturday is all mine, so my only debate is short walk to doe spot or long walk to the buck spot? (i act like i'm debating, but know i'll be hucking it in deep because i can't get that buck out of my head)

Ended up getting rained out tonight. Took a sweaty, armed hike prior to the storm, and damn near got a shot at a dumb grouse. Would have been my first recurve kill too. Ended up flushing 2 total. Putting that in the memory bank!

I snapped my lwhc working on my tower stand today… I’m pretty shocked but at least it happened at home.
