Team 2 BB - Bambi Blasters

Sorry for late replies/entrance, but I just got back from a Great hunt in CO. My buddy killed in a Stud 6x6 Herd Bull with a muzzleloader. I shot a nice 5x5 satellite bull but did not recover him. Shot him right at last light. Long story short we had good blood and a bloody arrow with bubbles. Tracked about 100yds to a meadow. By then it got dark and tracking in a meadow got tough. Decided to come back in the morning since temps were in the 30's and there was no chance of the meat spoiling. As luck would have it, it rained pretty hard that night and washed everything away. We grid searched best we could for 3 days and could not find him. The wilderness is super thick and I was pretty bummed about it. But to at least come home with 1 bull I am thankful. Just wish luck was on my side for my bull.........

Anyways I'm ready to hit the woods here in KY. My big bucks have disappeared from camera's but we have a Great Acorn crop this year. Trees are loaded and have dropping for awhile now. I just have to find the ones the bucks are eating on now. Good luck to everyone on Team 2. Lets Get'r Done!

Compound for me. But as someone who is enamored by beautiful woodwork... seeing some of the trad bows folks around here shoot has me convinced I will have one some day.
I love the wood, simplicity of it and the weight. My plan is to get the kids up and hunting, so i can enjoy the trad hunt.

Same here. I am in year 3 of compound hunting so still developing lots of skills, I know I'll shoot trad as well one some day, and make at least one bow myself as I also dabble in woodworking and a variety of other diy/crafty things. With time.

Compound hunter but I also have a crossbow as a back up and I'll go out a few days in rifle season

Took the girls to there meeting tonight. Drove around the back roads. Saw a dozen bucks in the fields. Most 110ish?? Didn't spot any monsters

Hey sorry for showing up late, been busy as heck at work and been traveling to Maryland form PA to hunt on every day I have off. I’ve been passing on does and small buck for now. PA opens on the first and I am actually working an early enough shift to hunt after work. I’m sure I’ll get the itch to stop letting them walk soon.

Would you quit passing on does down here in MD and take one for the team? Lol whoops I forgot I'm supposed to tell you to stay in PA, there's no deer down here... But I'm not about that rivalry. Good luck!

I am back at it. Hoping for some points on the board.

@onestringer your not required to use the avatar. It's all for fun.

1. I'm in Michigan. Mostly hunt childhood neighbors 80acer farm. Hunted public a few times last year.

2. Prefer bow hunting. But if I have a tag will go gun hunting.

3. I wish I had time to hunt more. But love my kids and wife more. So get out when I can. Planning on spending a few days during the rut on the farm. Last year weather and other stuff slowed me down some.

4. I set some presets for DRT this summer. So plan to use those. But I am trying to get my kids on some deer. So might be in a stand or on the ground thru first part of October. My oldest daughter is 13. Shooting the crossbow pretty good. Might try to do saddle hunt with her at some point. But my 7yr old son would definitely not sit still in the saddle.
Trying not to put to much stress on my self this year. But hope to at least kill one from the saddle.
