Team 3 thread

Well boys… been hunting HARD all season mostly with a bow. Been in the deer just struggled with the right shot opportunity or getting them that final 10 yards closer.

Second to last day of rifle season here in Kansas, and I decide to sit on the ground… sorry!!! Decided to fill both tags in my pocket due to the over abundance of does I saw…

lol guys it’s been a ridiculous season for me. Pretty dead on my saddle sits but since the snow started falling and I’ve been on the ground, I’ve seen more mature bucks than I think I’ve seen in a single season. But every time I screwed it up somehow. Sorry I didn’t put any points on the board, and season is basically over here except the muzzy holiday hunt but I will probably be on the ground. Too much snow, too cold and slippery to be climbing trees. I might wear the saddle and hook in at ground to watch for good sign or for a drive if I can get the guys to do it. I’m off through Christmas. Congrats to all you guys that but some down!

Well, I have a muzzle loader hunt jan 24/25 and a gun hunt the last weekend of February, not sure when the contest ends but I might be able to slide another entry in.

no I wasn't tethered in. I would have been within minutes lol
Well the official verdict is in. @redsquirrel's ruling is that it shouldn't count as "tethered in" has always been the deciding factor. For the record, no one is questioning your story and the fact that you were saddle hunting and about to climb. In fact all the moderators expressed their appreciation at your honesty and integrity. @redsquirrel said the deciding factor for him was that he wouldn't submit a deer if the same circumstances happened to him. Apparently he's put some previous thought into it as he's been close to having the same thing occur before himself.

Fact of the matter is it wouldn't have changed the end results much anyway and you've gained a tip of the hat and some more respect from the staff here @CooterBrown . Congrats on the buck regardless.
