Got 5 points for the team tonight. I will post pictures in the morning
Shoot one! free decoy!I passed on a few does (and the chance to add 5 more points for the team) yesterday. Let 'em walk because the bucks are starting to chase and I was hoping one was following. Had em at 10yds.

I've shot turkeys before and watched as others ran in and started beating the crap out of the dead bird..... I wonder if a dead doe will draw in bucks the same way... haha
It happens.. Keep hammering!Well if I find him in the morning we'll have five more. I think he was an 8 point but it happened so fast all I can say is he looked like a shooter. I didn't see him till he was 30 yards away walking broadside. I drew back and settled my pin and he walked behind a tree. I had to let down and wait a minute till he started moving again he walked about ten feet and I shot him but forgot to put my lighted nocks in. It looked good I think. He ran about 50 yards and stopped. Then he started walking again last I saw of him. I got down after about thirty minutes it was almost dark. I looked for the arrow but couldn't find it or blood so I just backed out.
Gona be a long night your not allowed to camp here so I'm sleeping in my truck.
Gona rain in the am then coldfront.
83 when I shot him.
I'll sit for a couple hours in the morning then get down and look for him. Pretty thick where he was headed wish me luck.
Well bad news. Found my arrow before daylight no blood just a few white hairs. It didn't smell like gut and not even any meat on the broadhead. So guess I shot low and just gave him a belly shave. Still in the .

Hell ya!!! Nice buck!!On the board!
Took vacation yesterday b/c we have some good weather rolling through Arkansas right now. Made an adjustment based on hottest sign, and killed this one @ 5:20 PM on his way to a scrape.

Welp I was getting ready yesterday morning to head out and was all dressed ready to go and then I go to pick up my pack and it felt like someone stabbed me in the back. I had muscle spasms and a sharp pain so I took a minute to sit and let it calm down. Then I decided to give it a go so I loaded the gear up in the truck and it was rather painful. As I was driving to the spot every bounce was killing my back, so I decided to head back home. Just didn't seem wise to keep going. Good news is that it feels 75% better today, but bad news is I have to work all week and this weekend coming up I'll be out of town. So, I'm going to miss the best part of the rut.. I'll get us another 5 points on the board by the end of the season, but to say I'm pissed about missing this part of the season is an understatement.
