Good luck.
Also, I’m in the “getting stir crazy” stage of waiting for season to open. I have went through my gear too many times, looked at too many maps and am in desperate need of getting into a tree. I’m at least a week out from my first hunt, could be over 2 weeks though.
Yea, that is nice. You guys hunt through February right?

Depends on where you are at and sometimes what side of the road you are on (see map below). The rut in Alabama is bizarre. It’s tough because it’s so spread out but it can be cool cause with a little travel, you can try to find some other deer rutting for like 3 months. Our mild winters also allow for a long rut since winter kill is not a thing. So the action isn’t as intense but it last a lot longer. Here is a map the DNR put together. I live in Madison county up North next to that green dot so in 30-50 miles deer can rut from November to February. When does your rut start

I'm pretty sure I know where that isSoliciting homie help on this piece of public. I'm thinking the purple circle may be a good spot since it's a thin bit of hardwoods in between an old cutover and a pond. Approaching from the south (across the pond) looks like ~.5 mile walk.
Anybody see a better area to pursue?

Looks like you either have a flexible job or a lot of vacation. You’ve been getting after it. Keep up the good work!
