First saddle hunt in the snow!!
It doesn’t happen often in Louisiana and I had to sit out in it at least for an hour!

The snow camo bow was not only on sale but also put to good use....haha.

You have to be the only dude in Louisiana with snow camo anything!
 
I haven’t been out since Nov 20. Getting to go this afternoon. Going to be a cold one here in southern WI. 15° for the high. I’ve been watching does come out in the same spot on a field for two weeks. Might be able to get one down. I’ve seen some nice bucks in this field as well, but not consistently. Hopefully I can put some points on the board!
 
I'm in it til Feb. 20th if need be. But I think the contest ends before then. I should be good for at least another doe. I have a private land spot I've been baiting since November and haven't hunted it yet. Tons of does showing up all hours of the day and one 3.5 yr old 10 pointer that's starting to make some daylight appearances. Just letting him get comfortable and waiting for the right time to strike. Cold front coming in tonight into tomorrow so I may give it a shot tomorrow afternoon.

I tried guys with my last hunt to OHIO last week. Had tough luck as I sat in a tree in my little golden piece of public with tons of fresh sign. Late morning....it was getting surveyed. The fresh busk sign got beat out by the fresher yellow paint on the trees everywhere....:rage:
