Team 5 - 2021

Got out the back half of yesterday. Did a grunt/rattle with 20 mins left. Buck (I think) passed by at around 60yds with just a couple of mins left of legal shooting light. Kept moving while I reached for my bow. Only deer I saw today.
 
Would love for one like this to show up when I’m there. All I saw Saturday was a measly ole 4 pt. The areas are getting more pressure now I may have missed my opportunity. I’m gonna hunt again next weekend and hope the rut is still going or just getting started. I know two deer were killed off this area two weeks ago. I saw the one buck and it was a small 8pt but don’t know what the other is. Got two of the bigger bucks still on camera so I know they at least didn’t get them. Maybe something will fall into place! I wasn’t able to get out much during WI’s gun season so unable to get my buck tag filled this year. Planning to get out as much as possible this month to get a doe or two with my bow.

How’s rest of season shaping up for the rest of you?
 
Bad weather coming in tomorrow.. quite a few bucks on camera lately. This fella is still alive which makes me hopeful. Gonna try and get in the woods tomorrow if it isn’t tornado-ing.874D4F93-89A4-429C-9823-007C16455EB8.png
 
Just shot my first decent buck! He stumbled hard then took off a ways which has me worried. Gonna give it some time.

No blood and no sign of him anywhere. Grid searched but nothing… makes no sense. Man hunting sucks a lot of times. I really thought today was the day.

Ugh.. gun hunting. I missed him. Found a camera so I decided to check it since it was the way he was going. He was on the just minutes after I shot, perfectly fine.
