Team 6 Thread

Where we at in points/ position? I'm getting my azzzzz kicked this year.
We're in 6th, within cracking distance just need to get some does down or get lucky with a couple big boys

I was not able to get out this weekend. Got my @$$ kicked with a cold last week and am just now recovered. Hopefully I can get out this weekend.

Ugh sorry fellas everything is so pressured now where I hunt. They're all nocturnal. Went out Saturday am, two does at first light was hoping a buck was following. Had my youngest's' birthday stuff going on this weekend plus heading to MO for my oldest's college graduation. I hoping to get out the am of the 9th then I probably won't be back in the saddle until the later season. I'm begging for my target buck to make it through the gun season. Last year I had him on my camera three days in a row within minutes of the time for each day. I'm hoping it will be the same again although that field was cut corn last year and this year its cut beans so don't know if that will make a difference or not. My buddy did have brassica radishes planted between his grape rows and there is some chewed radishes but I need to find out what they are eating on and hoping my target will be back on a somewhat of a feed pattern again soon.

Hunted deep in public in the morning, thought I heard antlers clash at 80 yards for 2 seconds. Never heard or seen a deer the whole hunt.
Decided to hunt uncles house in the evening. Setup in the "spike" tree over a primary scape that gets worked year around, at least the licking branch does... No pressure from my cousins and the scrape was the size of a car hood. I didn't see or hear a single deer the entire hunt. Even hung in the tree for 10 min in the dark to see what's up ( I do that often) annnnd nothing. Beautiful day but Dammnn

That's rough but at least you got to enjoy the day. I probably won't be out til the 18th. The main buck I've been after has disappeared the last few days and I also had coyotes in the area more than usual. I'm hoping he didn't get hit by a car. Hopefully he shows up sometime in the next week and a half

I was wondering the same. Haven't heard anything
Good morning guys...my second surgury was yesterday Dec 8th...I'm very sore and heading towards the healing phase and getting back to archery in general. As long as I have no complications I'm going to be doing my rehab in Florida until end of February. I had two other blockages at100/90% - it was a very challenging surgery, but doctor Osman is one of the best in his field. Two 3MM stints were put in on the front side of my heart where it branches...all three were totally blocked.. So I'm very happy with the results because they really wanted to do open heart surgury, but after a long consultation with the surgeons and one final with Doctor Osman I decided on doing stints....
My bucks have been teasing the hell out of me since the 20th...Fright-Train and Hub are both providing good photos every week so nxt year ill be back stronger then ever...
Thanks again guys for all your prayers

It ain't over till the fat does sings

I was out Weds. I can only hunt for a couple hours on weekday mornings due to work. Had one blow on the path I walked in to on - clue I went a bit too deep.
Just as I'm about to rappel down, bow on the ground, packed up, starting to lean back I hear some running and 2 does bound through the exact trail I've been watching all morning. They run directly under my tree and one pulls up at 20 yds. You have got to be kidding me.

A week ago Saturday I was up in a tree well before dawn very close to suspected bedding. Exactly 30m prior to sunrise (start of legal shooting) two does come out of bedding directly in front of me at 20yds. They seem to be moving quick so I swing around the tree, draw and see nothing but grey through the peep. She froze, presumably looking at me, I stared and just couldnt make heads or tails. I let down and could still barely make her out. Went back around the tree and she takes a few steps behind cover.

Still trying to make it happen this year.

I wish I was a headlight on a north-bound train
