Team 6 Thread

This is going to be a weird season for me. Season opens on 10/5, I’m selling and closing on my house for the past 34 years on 10/7 and closing on my new one on 10/8. The week after that will be full with moving so will probably not make it to woods till later in October. Still plan to get it done though. Good luck everyone!!

I bet you're moving just for this contest, managing expectations and all of that, before we know it, you'll be on Whitetail Cribs and settling in next to a big buck honey hole and we'll all be happy for the points. Seriously though, Good luck with the move brother that's never fun but the excitement of a new house and opportunities is always a blast.

I’m moving from a HOA neighborhood on about 1/8 acre to land zoned ag that I can actually walk out my back door and hunt. To say I’m excited is an understatement. Once I’m settled in I will certainly have more opportunities than I have ever had. At least that’s the hope ;-)

Man, THIS is a great team! I still contend that this is a group of “nice guys” but maybe my presence will roughen y’all up a bit :sunglasses:.
In all seriousness I think I hit the jackpot with y’all and I hope I can at least put a doe on the board for us. The Mrs. is due in February with our 4th so I am trynna get any deer shooting done by Christmas.
Our property is a doe sanctuary this year, because everyone around me hunts but none of them shoot any does. I’ve only seen one buck over 2YO all summer but a lot can shift in October so we’ll see.
Season opens the last weekend of September in OH. My wife is asking “when do I lose you again?” Funny thing is all my trees are less than 300 yds from the house so I dunno what she’s talking about, it’s like I never left…

None of us have to do anything @Blacksmith can proxy tag all of our deer for us. I'm sending him my saddle now.
I Have a Good Saddle But I Could Use Your Tags!! We Always Run Out. Game Warden Says" I Gave You Enough" Looking Forward To The Stories, Pics.

I Have Some Extry Snuffers if You Need Help W/the Does!

My season here in Michigan officially doesn't start until Oct. 1st but this year the Natural Resources Commission opened up the lower peninsula for an early season doe hunt this coming weekend, Sept 21st and 22nd. My plan is to take my longbow out and see if I can kill a doe with it. I've been bowhunting over 50 years and I've never taken a deer with traditional equipment so I'm hoping to start that journey with a doe this year.

Other than that I still plan on hunting remote while dispersed camping on state land over the weekends and then hunting locally here in the Boyne area during the week. I retired a year ago so I have plenty of time to get in the woods and I plan to take full advantage. :tearsofjoy:
