Team 7 2019 thread

Welcome to the Bling Team!

We are still in the over 100 heat index and major drought in NC, so it will be a bit before I go out. I normally only shoot 1 buck a year, but will take a doe also for the team, or 2, if I don't get a mature buck pegged down this season. I did get a greeting from these two while mowing my trails and roadbeds yesterday morning.

Holt checking in!

I'm in Maryland and season came in last week. I've done 5 sits so far looking for a buck. I shot a doe last Thursday and posted it already, so we got points on the board! Looking forward to being on a team with you guys!

Congrats! Way to get us started off!

I'm on day 1 up here in the north country (NH). Not an exciting spot but hey, I'm in a saddle with an arrow nocked! Been a long off season. I'm in a new state so really just trying to figure some things out that I couldn't tell online.

I'm a pretty reliable doe guy once my state (VT) opens up in a couple weeks. Bucks remain fairly elusive for me, but I'm always hopeful!

Glad to be here with you all on team 7!

Excited to be on the team! My first year in the contest. Just purchased a doe tag today to make sure I can put up some points. I'm usually good for a decent buck, but this year I plan on hunting hard as possible. I'm in Michigan and hunt a small private farm and a heavy pressured public area. Can't wait for the Oct 1 opener!

Very cool, one of those will help the team! We have no shooters on camera this summer, but hoping the Jeff Sturgis theory is correct and they will be on us in November. We have the only food plots in the whole area that will be green and lush into December, just need some rain now.

I really like that top buck!

I have yet to locate a good buck. All I have is my encounters from last year and the sheds I found. If I can find these bucks this year, they should be some monsters! All my sits from here on out are just bouncing around til I find um. The number 1 buck I want to find is the buck that dropped this shed. I had 1 encounter with him. It was on the last day of the season and he bedded down in front of me at 80 yards. Nothing I could do.

The heat index has been 100 or more for over a week here. It is down to highs in the mid 70's through Friday, then back up to 91. It will be October until I get in the woods. I was testing out my new DIY saddle last evening (could only take 20 mins due to sweating) and heard the white oaks dropping an acorn evry 5 mins or so. They should be raining in October and I can get the doe points knocked out quick.

First time this has ever happened. Peep sight crushed on itself practicing last night. She's fixed now I'll be sighting it back in tonight.

Gentlemen!!!! I'm located just south of Nashville,TN. I went up to KY and hunted public with @flinginairos this past weekend for my first hunt of the season. Nothing to show for the contest other than dirty clothes and empty cans. As was mentioned TN doesn't open for another week. As of now my hunting season plans are to hit up: TN, KY, AL, GA, MI if the funds don't run out first. Happy to be apart of team 7!

Hate to mention this to you this late in the game, but I HIGHLY recommend removing that or any peep with stretch tubing. I have a friend that lost his vision in an eye due to the tubing breaking and hitting him in the eye. He owns a bow shop and will not sell or work on any bow with those on there. Too many other good options to risk that situation.
