North Alabama here, season kicks off October 15th where I hunt. I mainly hunt with a traditional bow but am not scared to pull out the compound and gun late season. I’m good for at least 5 points, 12 if I’m having a good year :tearsofjoy:

Sorry if this is kind of disjointed. I retired last night and got a wee bit drunk and am now suffering a hangover.
I hunt in Michigan, we start October 1. I’ll be spending a lot of time in the woods because of the retirement and taking season off before looking for a new job.

I figured I was going to be stepping on toes but when I didn’t see a team 7 thread yet I just sent it! Don’t send me to the principal’s office
No worries man, I got 2 kids and a wife so my toes are stepped on every day!

Alright, a little bit of a weird start to the season for me. Opening weekend brought lots of bear sightings for me but no deer. I just realized that our earn a buck season is only 2 weeks when it is usually 3. Between work and family I was only able to get out last night this week. I had a doe dancing around at the edge of my range but the only time she gave me a possible shot was when I wasn't positive she was a doe yet. So I guess I'm hoping to get a doe over the weekend to buck hunt next week but if I don't I'll probably take it easy next week and go hard on Saturday when I can shoot a buck. October is a little screwy too, I'm away for most of the first full week for a class for work so that's another lost hunting week. The season just opened and I see my days in the field already flashing before my eyes lol.

Central Indiana here. We get started October 1st, unless you are in an urban zone. Then it's a couple weeks before. I hunt mainly private but sum public sprinkled in. I'm usually good for at least 10, but overdue fora good buck. Good luck to team 7.

Northern Indiana here. Mostly public. Exceptional wife and grown kids, so i get to hunt a lot. Like BH said, we start 10/1. i have a campsite for the 1st 3 wkends of Oct. :tearsofjoy: should be good for 15-20 points. i reallllly like to eat deer.

SC here. Season opened this past Sunday. We get a lot of tags and I generally travel somewhere or somewhere else as well.

I did find out that one of goofy landowners told someone else they could also hunt a tract near my house. Ran into him yesterday he hunts with a crossbow so I may have to bust out my rifle 10/11 when season opens and crush his soul

P.S. if I can get back home in time this evening I plan to kill a doe I have patterned, lol.

Im in CO and bow season started 9/2 for which I got elk and deer tags this year. I shot my elk last week and still have the mulie tag. Id like to get one out of the saddle this year. If not no biggie as I'll put points up late season when I head to the lease in AL where I'll be good for a minimum of 10. I may get to head to IN again this year but not sure yet if I can pull it off. Im looking forward to seeing everyones success. I have a second and third place finish my last two years in the contest so Im looking forward to winning this year. Lets get a W for the squirrel this year, put em down!!

Yeah, well, you’re on a team with me now and my teams have a history of being under performers, lol

Its in Clarke. No, Im from CO. Got hooked up with some AL boys through a friend of the old lady 5-6 years ago and got into hunting hogs and then whiteys down there. Joined their lease a couple years later when I killed more bucks than anyone in the lease as a guest. Its so different from hunting out west. Still have a lot to learn about hunting super paranoid little southern whiteys. I wish I could get down more and set cameras, etc but its a 22 hour drive. Im blown away that those dudes dont know every deer on the property since they live an hour away but its not a big priority for them. Im pretty sure I hunt more days on that lease than anyone, which is part of why I joined it. No one else bow hunts it at all.

I'm hunting northern MN, and our season started last Sat....as is tradition I didn't get out opening weekend, sick daughter and full freezer.... I actually cut up and cooked lots of version and beaver to make room for a new deer. Plus it's too warm to hunt, was low 80's all weekend and high 70's this week, so I'm hoping to start this Friday/Saturday. We have a low deer density problem but I have plenty of does in a few different spots so I'm hoping to be good for a minimum of 10 points..... will shoot absolutely any buck that gives me a chance.

South AL hunter here. It’s buck only archery starting 10/15 then either sex from 10/25- thanksgiving or so. Then boom sticks through early Feb. Did not get drawn for the AL Special Opportunity hunt I was hoping for so it’s 90% public for me and a little private rut action in mid-late Jan. Have a trip planned for an early rifle hunt weekend after Veterans Day, but have historically been skunked at that particular WMA in the northern part of the state. I’m not usually good for any points, but I put some on the board the last 2 years so I’m gonna try to keep it going.
