TEAM 8 Discussion Thread

I have off starting tomorrow until the first of the year. I plan on getting out a couple of days. I only have a buck tag left. I can't guarantee I'll see a buck but, if I do there's a pretty good chance he will be an upgrade to the one I've entered and I need at least one more deer in the freezer so I'm not going to be picky.

Come on fellas I have contributed all I can. Out of of MO buck tags. However I am off for the next two weeks. My offer still stands to come shoot a 30 pointer with you. I can certainly add some comic relief if you are stressed out. Like just yesterday.......I rappelled out of the tree, landed on my bow managed to destring my bow, break my sight off, and break an arrow.

I can get a MO tag if there’s a good buck getting on your nerves. I say as all of our season come to an end we ransack @Nutterbuster house and hunt the rut in Alabama and Mississippi.

I’d never hunt a property I had to slip into. :)
Now if someone showed up and I had to slip out, that’s completely understandable. Now just in case I shoot some world record and am subjected to a polygraph don’t mention sneaking in or out. Just tell me to bring my rappell gear:tonguewink:

An old high school buddy of mine messaged me sunday and invited me to come hunt his area with him in the Mississippi delta. Unfortunately I don't think I can swing it this season. Or atleast my old lady hated the idea when I presented it to her, something about me leaving for a week with her and the kids at home...

Funny how it isn’t the exciting wonderful idea when you say it to your wife as it was thinking to yourself. Heck I’ve rehearsed and changed wording to make it sound like it was the best thing for her. Then when it’s coming out of your mouth you’re thinking to yourself that your an idiot. So now not only are you not going but your selfish and inconsiderate for even mentioning it.
 
Well my season ended and I never found a shooter buck in range and passed on smaller does. Sorry gentlemen I spent a lot of hours and time! Now I’m trying to find a friend down south to go hunt with so I can get us some points! I hate not pulling my weight!
 
Saw a nice little 8 out duck hunting this morning. They're finally starting to move around!

Fired two shots from the 06 to check zero. Hasn't been fired since I shot my 9 last year. Two bullets right at an inch apart and dead on center at 100 yards. Truck is packed. Just got to get through the festivities and I'm Dallas bound!

We’ve been married 15 years and started dating 21 years ago. I told a newlywed guy a couple years ago that it got way better after 10 years. Told him about all the things I used to do that ticked her off and now

Well after a long pause and replaying ten years of hunting, fishing and other activities I realized that she hadn’t gotten any better. I had just quit doing everything that ticked her off. I had given up but nothing like a reality check to get things headed in the right direction.

Several times this fall I'd get up at 5 am to go hunting, be back at 10 am and she'd complain about me leaving her at home alone with the kids, who didnt wake up til 8 am lol. I just brush it off, and help out while I am around. I just try to remind here, I only really hunt for about 3 months of the year, so let me hunt and I'll be there the other 9 months to do whatever.
