TEAM 8 Discussion Thread

I got to hunt Friday evening and had a doe and a spike walk with underneath me as I was climbing the tree. (I was barely able to squeeze a hunt into a busy day and got there late). Then a Dow caught my wind and was approaching and stomping. When she finally turned broadside I squeezed the trigger on the crossbow. But one of the limbs hit the tree and threw the shot off.
Then yesterday I had a speaking engagement at a men’s “Scratch and Spit” camp. That was a blast! But left no time to hunt.
I just wanted to report something so you’d know I’m still alive! Good job everybody else!

This was as good as it got this evening. My son missed a doe from his ground blind. Would have been his first without me sitting with him.D738A9D4-98F8-4033-A091-1787D033B9E4.jpeg

I had 7 deer under six yards yesterday! The property I’m hunting on doesn’t want small bucks or does taken right now! It’s rough. Any deer with a trad bow is a trophy. But... I’ll keep at it guys!

I’ll get is submitted later this
Morning.

I had a swing and a miss at a doe this weekend. 25 yards on the ground. Stalked up on her from about 80 yards away. It was really thick and I was trying to thread the needle between 2 trees. Pulled the shot to the right...

What a difference an inch makes.

That sucks. Looks like you sold ALL of your luck with that Kite. ;)

I planned to go this weekend and shoot a doe just never had the chance. I spent all weekend working on a dryer:neutral: it should be all good now and maybe I can slip out for a hunt or two this weekend.
