TEAM 8 Discussion Thread

I planned to go this weekend and shoot a doe just never had the chance. I spent all weekend working on a dryer:neutral: it should be all good now and maybe I can slip out for a hunt or two this weekend.
We were supposed to have a tropical storm Saturday morning. I decided to sleep it. Woke up at 8:30 to light drizzle and 10 mph winds. Would have been a beautiful morning in the woods. Left about 9:30 and headed to my old house to work on projects if my own. Most of the fields I passed still had deer in them at 9:30. Oh well these projects at my old house are taking a toll on my hunting time. I still have another week and a half I can get some evening sits during the week before time changes.

Time to upgrade a slickhead to something with some bone in the head.

Church tomorrow night. Had to check my sons scope tonight. It’s a great scope for the 300 blackout but the turrets are exposed and it makes it a terrible hunting scope. We will be back at it Thursday evening then maybe Saturday morning. Then next Wednesday leave for a week of prerutacation.

I hunted yesterday morning and saw more does I couldn't shoot. Went out after work to check on some persimmon trees on a hill. They're bare.

Will be riding up tomorrow night to hunt up around Oakmulgee WNA. Dad is coming, which may slow my roll some. He is more about steaks on a fire than thickets in the rain.

Austin you don’t look so good. Probably best to take a day or two to get better. You’d hate to be the guy who gets everyone else sick!
Lol I've ready tried that, was told no we're to busy at work. Did just hire 5 more welders that start monday so that should relax my time some. We typically just work 4 10s, but been so busy this year I've worked every friday since January. Good OT though. I cant go hunting til sunday, so they're safe for a few days. I planned to go scout a wma sunday that I have a gun permit for soon, got good chances at a 140"+ deer there, but good deer close to home are hard to pass up
