TEAM 8 Discussion Thread

This is a dumb question but figure but is a safe space. I don’t currently use any molle pouches on my saddle, everything goes in my pack. For those who use pouches, what do you put in them? Do you load them up and leave a pack at home?

I know we all have our systems that work for us, but I’m wondering what everyone else uses to see if I can streamline my setup.
I don't use pouches personally, i just daisy chain my ropes when not using them.

I have a sys hauler on my right hip. From the top down and t holds my linesman’s belt, tether, recliner, and bow hanger. Then I have a trophyline pouch in the middle. It has a ring of steps and multi hooked gear hanger. On my left hip I run a Doyle’s gear hoist. Early season I put two water bottles on the side of trophyline pouch and don’t use a backpack.

Holy crap. Might as well put a mini fridge on your saddle.

Guys. I am so sorry. I had planned on upgrading my buck for the team. Good news bad news good news. Good news is I did kill another buck and I killed it off our own place. First buck there. Bad news is it’s still an 8 point. Already submitted an 8 point. Good news. I still have vacation so if someone has a 10 point or bigger tied up I will gladly come over and shoot it for team 8 .

Ha ha I can swap the trophyline pouch for a surplus sustainment pouch. Then I can add rain gear and thermacell. I don’t know about a fridge but yeti makes a 8 can soft side cooler.

I had a rather slow weekend, only seen one legal buck and it was this guy. Real good young 7 point so I let him walk. I did have a new 10 point show hp at another spot so this weekend wind is supposed to be right for that area and I'm going to slip in and try to upgrade my buck.Screenshot_20191118-100046_Gallery.jpg

I I have two pouches. One of them I only bring if I’m going to SRT out of the tree. It has my SRT rope and gear.
The other holds my swaider, daisy chain gear strap (doubles as aider), tether, recliner, 2 ameristraps on a strap, and haul line.

Just checking to see if this thread is still active. Keep checking my inbox for coordinates of a 30 pt buck in a state other than Missouri to go shoot for team 8.

25 degree drop from high yesterday to low this morning, perfect wind at new spot I wanted to hunt, front and rain moving in this afternoon and I realize as I am getting dressed this morning that my well pump is running constantly and won't shut off. So I get to diagnose a well problem this morning instead of being in a tree. :(

Just got home from hunting the woods where I had a close encounter last November with a giant. Too many hunters this year. Nocturnal activity only.
