Good luck to those in the woods. I will be back at it this weekend. We still have a month of season but we are about two weeks away from seeing deer almost every hunt to getting excited to see a yearling doe.

I’ve got 4 weeks of season left, of which I’ll probably hunt only 3 due to holidays. I haven’t seen a deer in a month. I have an idea of a property to escout at work today for hunting this coming weekend.

Keep at it and good luck!

At least you’re doing something productive at work.

Gregg is a stand up guy! He does great work, you won’t be disappointed with any of his bows. This little bow is one of the best I’ve shot.

Well, I had planned to bowhunt in the Cincinnati Parks this week, but they’re not open for hunting on Tuesday and Wednesday. So I set up a corn Feeder Monday and took vacation to gun hunt on public land Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday. I wanted to enter the forest from a different direction from most hunters (also playing the wind). So I made my way uphill through 200 yards of briars. Still saw no deer. Coming through the briars is harder in the dark... Took 2 hours to get through the briars coming out. Miserable! Next time I’ll bring a pruning tool. Tomorrow morning I plan to hunt the Cincy Parks.
Here’s my DIY camping setup. 1tarp and 3 bungee cords. Setup and takedown in minutes. Adjustable ventilation. Rainproof. I have a cot and sleeping bags set up in the bed of my truck.37220FA9-55E3-4266-9459-B408222E748A.jpeg

I took a doe in the Cincinnati Parks this morning. Number 5 for the year. I didn’t feel real good this morning so I was late getting to the woods. Had my saddle on but didn’t see a tree where I wanted one. So I was laying on the ground on my back with my saddle gear as a pillow. Crossbow on my knees like turkey hunting. Breeze in my face. 22 yards from 2 does when I shot one of them. It was pretty cool! I might not shoot another doe though. I donated this one to Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry. Still haven’t seen a real good buck. Saw a little 6 point this morning.
