Team 8 ready!!!

I am looking for a couple of does first, then any 2.5 year old or older buck. I have not gotten one of those yet,so i am not too picky. I have moved past 1.5 year old bucks though. I am super excited to hunt state land around me this year and also have a couple new private spots to try out. This may be the year i never hunt a spot twice.
I also would love to harvest all my deer with the bow. I enjoy that a hundred times more than gun hunting. That to me is more of a social thing.

Since this is my first year in a saddle (and I opted to get into the contest), my goal is to shoot at least 2 does from the saddle to get us the points. Hopefully I can get a buck as well, but I have some property where they want some does killed off. My buck choices are 2.5 year old or older, but something that I would be willing to pay the $100 for a Euro Mount for. I know I could do the mount myself, but putting the $100 restriction on it keeps me honest on my choice to shoot or not. EDIT: All with the bow!

Filling tags with full body deer and hopefully 100 percent with bow and get the kids and wife out in the woods and more involved since they allow me to hunt so often

My goals: Plenty of meat is the first order of business. I need to kill at least one doe in the Cincinnati Parks. Then, I'd like to take a really nice buck if possible. It's been a few years since I killed a really big one. I personally won't shoot a buck unless I think he's mature. Preferably with a big rack. I was ready to kill that 9 pointer I have on camera, but then I saw that bigger 10 point on a different camera. I'm going to have a hard time letting loose an arrow at a buck smaller than that one now.

I’m the same way. I could have killed a really nice 130 on the 17th but let him walk because a 4.5 year old was hanging around. May not let him go tonight!

I'll be in it on October 3rd for PA bow opener. Still getting a few things buttoned down, but I'm 99% ready! We'll see what the cams say as to what the plan will be on opening day. First saddle season for me, but I've spent many hours in my Phantom, and I'm confident it will all be good! It's all public land with WEI Stepps and a few SRT pre-sets.
