Team 8 ready!!!

Had a doe at 8 steps on the ground on my way in tonight. Got to full draw and held for a good minute...she just needed to take 1 more step and it would have been a done deal. That 6th sense they have is tough to compete with.
 
The MA( my home state) opener is Oct. 15th but I've planned weekend hunts in NY for the first two weekends, Oct.1st opener there. It's going to be my first year with the recurve, wish me luck, I feel like I'm going to need it.
Lets draw some blood!!!

Hopefully it’ll blow through and just get us a little wet... I got drawn for the Trinity River NWR Hirsch unit for bow season so I’ll be hunting somewhat close to sour lake the second weekend of archery.

What’s everyone got for goals this year? Anyone hunting specific deer?

I’m looking to fill my freezer. So I’m looking to get two more does and at least one buck. Doesn’t have to be a monster for me to pull the trigger. (One archery and one rifle buck tag here in Wisconsin)
 
I'm looking to get a doe for the freezer using my recurve to hunt for the first time. After that I'll be looking for bucks 8 points or better, not super selective about size but I'll be looking for 3.5 years or over. I'll be looking to kill them all with the bow. Don't worry, if I see a good 2.5 year old i'll put some points up for us especially if I have the recurve in my hand. I saw a lot of good deer last year I'm hoping to run into one of them again.
