Hopefully ill put some pts on the board this afternoon folks. I hit liver at 8am. Decent buck, not a monster but hes nice. Blood dog will be here at 230. I frickin bumped him bedded 40 yds from the shot. I had just called my old man and told him i think i hit liver and didnt want to track for a while too. Beyond ****ty feelin right now. It was an 8 yd shot but my bow was torqued all kinds weird. I think it was pushing up into my bridge. I dont even know. Wooooof. Makes ya wanna quit huntin sometimes. Finally got SaddleHunter to work on my work computer again! Here's our Team 8 Standings up to date (11-23-2021).

Good work putting some points up guys! Keep in mind them does are points on the board too!

Headed to Ohio Saturday for gun season. Starts Monday, have intel from last season on where we plan on hunting. Hopefully I can run into something bigger than my 8 for an upgrade! Fingers crossed... I've gotten mixed reports on rut activity. Some say they're just seeing it start, some say it's been rolling for two weeks. I'll adapt but lets see if I can overcome! Good luck the rest of the season everyone!

90% sure its this buck. But happened real quickScreenshot_20211123-111027_Tactacam Reveal.jpgScreenshot_20211123-111353_Tactacam Reveal.jpg. Not a world record but good eatin size. I hope this bloodhound is havin a good day today. Never shot just liver before. Tracker wasnt too optimistic about it but i gotta do everything i can to recover this guy. i have a bad feelin theres not gonna be much blood for me to track after the bump. Any of yall ever hired a dog before? This guy is pretty well known around MD. AJ Bartlinski

Ohio should be towards the end of the rut right now. Only need 1 hot doe to stir things up though... Good luck! Never hunted whitetail anywhere else but MD. Iowa is #1 on my bucket list

It happens more times than hunters like to admit. I know I was there earlier this season when I hit that buck in no mans land. But I got another shot at him surprisingly the next day. We are always our own worst critic. Keep your head up and do your best to recover him.

Liver hit deer always die unless it’s just a slit. I’ve had em die in 30 yards and I’ve also had em die 8 hours later. If you’re 100% sure it was liver and the tracker says he doesn’t have a good feeling I’d be calling a new tracker haha. If I can find a liver hit deer after 8 hours a BLOODHOUND should have zero issues if you only went 40 and backed out…

Still looking. Dog bumped him twice. i went back in at 3am and searched the last thicket we left him in and didnt see him. Ended up on another hunters property and i need to get permission again, he let me look yesterday but they are hunting today and didnt want me in there with a dog. He wasnt that deer i posted pics of. never seen him before, 10pt.... dog tracker estimated 130". i shouldve never took that shot. too steep and i was too excited. i feel terrible.

Ok fellas, I’m done slacking. Bow season in PA I passed a small buck and several small doe. Same here in MA. Had a slammer at 40 quartering to at dark last week, too dark to feel good about sliding an arrow in. Also passed two spikes and a few small doe Saturday.

Friday I leave for PA and it’s game on for rifle. I’ll get some points on the board for us!

hope your all having a good safe season thus far!!!!

Nick

Hope everyone is having a good late season! Getting ready to go out soon since I’ve had a crazy work schedule. Looking to upgrade my buck or atleast score a doe

I'm officially done here in the North East. Gear is getting cleaned and hitting the totes. Finished the year off with 8 deer under my belt and 4 mishaps.
1: 40 yard shot, big doe rodeo turned and went across the brisket. Got her on cam 3 days later with minor damage.
2: Another 40 yard shot, rodeo turned. My buddy had just shot a buck chasing a doe and she was on high alert. I thought I had it in the bag but she was too quick. This one also survived, skipped off shoulder and lower neck. Man deer are tough.
3: This is where it gets interesting... In Ohio, shot a doe broadside at a trotting pace. First, mid rib cage, second, shoulder, with a 450BM. Bones and hair everywhere, not a drop of blood... 6 guys searched everywhere, no dice.
4: Now the heart break. Shot a 140" range ten point, Ohio. 450BM running shot 15 yards. Good shoulder hit, good blood. Died by the gravel road (right on the edge) and a pushing party driving by loaded him before we got to the end of the blood trail. If any of you know Ohio hunting you can guess the folks that took it...

Overall, shot 12, took home 8.

How’s everyone doing? Getting ready for the holidays?
