Team 9 2019 Discussion Thread

Went out last night but saw nothing. This morning it's 29 degrees! I wanted to go out but I'm not ready for that temperature. I've got to find my stuff, we've moved and still unpacking.

18 inches of snow on the ground with 5-8 more inches predicted tonight. Temps started at 13 this morning and crested at 24 this afternoon. Its getting to be tough hunting. Its still snowing.

Wow! I feel like a ***** now! Lol

It's all relative to what you're used too. I grew up here in northern Michigan so I'm used to it. It doesn't feel like hunting season to me until we hit that 30 mark. Add to that i've been living out of a camper since the 31st of Oct and I'm getting pretty acclimated. :)

I'm loving the cold front here in Kansas. Has the bucks on there feet like crazy. I'm going to be out again in the morning. Still been passing some smaller bucks. Got two shooters on camera this morning. Hope they do the same thing again in the morning.

Suck it up Boyne bow hunter!!
Had to pull out of camp this morning. The snow there is mid thigh deep. It took two pickups chained together and about 8 or 9 attempts with a lot of shovelling over two hours for us to get the camper turned around so I could pull it out. I have never seen this much snow so early. It snowed non-stop since Sunday.

It was a brutal 19 degrees this morning in Arkansas with a 9 mph North wind. It’s been brutal in saddle, especially with this Kidney Stone, but I’m pressing on for the team! Only seen a small button and 2 bobcats. Last night after dark, walking out, I came nose to nose with my nemesis the Evil 10 Twin. Nothing I could do but gracefully bow and allow him to pass. So far I’m 0 for.....

What do you guys think these two bucks would score? I passed on the one with the short g4s the other morning. You guys think either of them would hit 140? The buck I'm really after I'm not worried what he is going to score but I'm starting to worry about tag soup :)

I’m thinking the first deer is probably mid to upper 120’s. The second is very similar to my 10 from last year. He scored 138. In no expert, but just my own harvest experience

Thanks guys. I'm thinking the same thing but it's hard to judge when you see them in real life.

Got it done this week, not as big as I was hoping, but as busy as I've been when this guy gave me the opportunity I didn't waste it and now I have meat in the freezer! 8pt buck give us another 13 pts for the contest. Hopefully I can get out for gun and add a doe.

Well after a busy fall and only 2 sits under my belt, I found out I will definitely be moving to Wisconsin in January. That means I’m moving too late for Wisconsin deer season, and leaving my home state before our rut ever starts. I hope to get out this next week and knock down a doe or two on the family property before I have to return and get the house ready for sale.
