Sept 28th in Arkansas can not come soon enough. Im out getting the last of the kayak fishing in. Checking cameras soon. I just hope I can finally kill the 7 year old 12ptr I hit low 2 years ago. Only one pic of him last year. The spot seems to have been replaced with a 6.5 year old 8ptr.

Im guilty of no scouting this year. To hot and I never find early season bucks. So kudos to you for finding new spots.

Niko, keep me in the loop on your climbing method. Any new tips and tricks you find. I need all the help I can get to make it work.

What are you using to climb? Have I seen you show interest in the Lone Wolf seat?

Today I went into an old forest to do some scouting. I wish I took a picture to show what I'm about to explain. This forest is old pine, big pine. Dead stuff all over and thick, all of a sudden I come to a glade of oaks, all cleared out grass for a floor, it's awesome, so I put a camera in there, hopefully the deer like it as much as me!

For my climbing method this season, I have a LWHC with the bolt mods (also summit stand mods if I want to ditch the LW band). I also have an uncut helium stick with a ronstan large cam cleat with 8mm prusik rope for one sticking. Neither one has been that easy for me so far. Its actually been pretty unpleasant. My fall back is three un cut heliums with a two step CAYG aider that I am very proficient with. 1 with cam cleat now and other 2 with versa button and 1/4” amsteel with a diy xop platform. I am going to try out my flex this year with sewn in webbing bridge. I have no good trees in my yard to practice in though.

What is the issue you’re having with the LWHC?
