Team 9 2019 Discussion Thread

It finally happened . . . after over 200 climbs one-sticking and rappelling, I finally got a rope stuck to the point I had to climb back up and retrieve it. I've come close a couple of times but this morning is actually the first time I had to re-climb the tree to retrieve my rappel line. Oh well, it was bound to happen sometime. I had broke off a dead limb I had climbed around as I rappelled down thinking it would help me on the rope retrieval. The rope fell ok but the retrieval string caught on the broken limb and I couldn't manage to pull it free and since the string was hooked to the rope it was holding it up in the tree. I just climbed back up, freed the pull down string and re-girth hitched the rope and got a second rappel in. :)

My day will come. Do you guys think that it makes to much noise as the rope falls?

Just had this one move into my area. This place seems to turn up in late october. I have had some bad luck with 2 incredible encounters in this area the last two season. Im hoping the 3rd season ends that. How do you guys go about determining if its the the same buck from one season to another? The one last year had very short G4’s, almost like a crab claw. Im wondering if he got a little better. Im hoping to have better pics soon.
