Team 9 2019 Discussion Thread

Well guys I messed up this morning, not once but twice. First I missed a decent 8 point. Not a great buck but definitely an eater. I guess I misjudged the distance but it was a weak side shot. I was pretty sure I had missed low but I thought I saw a red spot on his side as he ran out. I waited a half hour, rappelled out and went to check. Sure thing clean miss. Its only 9:00 so I figure I'll climb back up and finish the sit. I attach my stick to the tree, bow to the pull down line which I left up in tree and as I'm getting ready to put my pack back on i look over and there's a monster 10 walking by inside of 10yds. All I could do was watch him go by. He never knew I was there. Would have been right in the wheelhouse if I'd stayed in the tree. Then, just to tease me, this little guy shows up 15 minutes later.

Bummer man. At least you are seeing bucks. Im about burned out

Yep, that's a tough one. At least you are in the woods! I was out of commission for my daughters birthday but I'll be in stand doing all day sits Thursday through Monday.
 
Wish I could get points for this guy. But he's only 10 even though he dwarfs my ten last week.

I've been getting out. Had some nice action and some nice opportunities at some descent bucks. Nothing I want to end my season with yet. Let's keep after it team 9!
 
You guys are pullin in some great deer. How long does this contest go and any good late winter strategies?

Finally getting to spend some time in the woods, my rutcation started today and sounds like good timing had a doe with 2 in tow come out tonight and heard a buck following them around only got to see his rack for second and then nothing. Hopefully I'll be able to put some points on the board for us this week.
