Team 9 Thread

I never sealed the deal on a mature buck. Season ended Jan 3rd. Best of luck to you all hope you can get it done! Stay Safe out there

I come asking forgiveness.

My stubborn ass waited too long to bag a couple of does, and it bit me. The last four sits I had on the season produced nothing but smaller bucks in range of my bow. I got skunked.

I failed. It sucks. I’m sorry.
Brother no apology necessary....this is fun stuff...keep it real...keep it fun

No worries bro. Stick to my motto next year. “Kill the does early and often”. Haha.

Come down to Bama, saw these ladies out this evening on the way home from work.

There were 10 in total. And that one on the left was a slab of beef. Big ole doe.

Was back out again this morning nothing moving today...surprised with the sun gleaming and squirrels moving like crazy....going to give this spot a rest...im shooting in a NFAA tournament this weekend so be back in thecsaddle Monday hopfully....wish the season lasted like this every year...but I only allow myself one good buck a year...hated those years you could take 5 here in michigan

Grilled deer heart steaks for dinner. Yumm.

These would go nice sliced up in fajitas or on some crostini bread with some accompaniments (chimichurri, bruschetta, horseradish cheddar)

Well, today was my last day of the season...hunted hard...and yes I was picky to say the least...I pulled my camera after today's hunt and had 758 pictures. Two mature bucks showed up ive never seen before and of course my target buck only came thru on days with a slight SE wind. Ive spent the evening going thru the photos tonite, but I can tell you hes a predictable 11:30 in the morning and 4:15 in the afternoon during daylite photos. He very rarely shows up during nite although he always travels to the east on his exit. Which varifies his preferred bedding area from post season scouting last season. Three yrs chasing this buck...makes me want to tag him nxt year even more...in my oppinion he's 6yrs old or older....here's his photos from today20210130_220501.jpg20210130_220641.jpg

Beautiful buck. I hope you bag him next year. Why such blurry photos though?
