Team Johnny 5 is alive!

It’s been great watching a whole bunch of late season bucks hit the scoreboard, so long as none
Of them come from team 8, things are looking good for us.

I on the other hand won’t be adding any more points this year. For two and half
Months I’ve been hunting: climbing in and out of trees - often in the dark. I’ve scaled
Cliffs, scrambled across glacial boulder fields, climbed mountains and walked several thousand miles in every kind of terrain imaginable. 2 days after the season ended I was taking out the trash and slipped on a wet board. My foot spun around backwards and upside down and then all of my weight came crashing down on it. This afternoon I’m meeting a surgeon to talk about how they are gonna put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Call it poetic irony.
Bummer! Hope you have a speedy recovery. I'm not sure what your experience with injury recovery is, but if I could offer one piece of cheap advice, it would be to take the physical therapy seriously. It makes your recovery much faster and in many cases prevents re-injury. Take it from a guy who thought he was too cool for physical therapy and re-injured himself

Heading out the door for the last hunt of the season yall. I always go through a mini week long or so depression this time of year when season ends. I am taking the saddle and gonna hunt the spot where ive got my biggest buck on camera. I know he's still in the area as I have pics of him from 2 nights ago. But chance of him stepping out in daylight are slim. But I gotta try. GL to anyone else going out this weekend.

Welp, had a dude training his dog blew through my set up during magic hour tonight. This happens to me on public at least 1-2 times per year. Id rather it not be the LAST hunt of the year, but what can you do? I just decided to pick up and still hunt my way out rather than pray that my set up would still be good. Saw a few does on my way out but no shots. And 2022 season comes to a close.

Wow we gotta ways to go still! Not sure if anyone from team 8 is located in the Deep South where the rut is still happening. If so, then they still have a chance. Our regular season in TN closed on Sunday. This week is doe only week and then we are totally done.
Ohio is still in till Feb if anyone has tags. Just mail them here and I'll send back pictures of what you shot.

I’d love to know what the mods process is like for creating the teams. Is it entirely random or are there various considerations made to increase the likelihood of teams being somewhat balanced etc?

I'm pretty sure it is random. I've been looking at the few counties that are still open for the extended season, but I think I truly done for the season.

I feel like it was random. This was the end of my first year on the forum...they couldn't have known what kind of success us newbies would or wouldn't have!
