Tethrd mantis sz L & predator platform shipping update

What size saddles are ya'll ordering in relation to your size/waist etc? I have a Trophyline saddle in XL that is way too big for me, but I am leary of going with a L on a Mantis but don't want to be in the same boat as the trophyline I am trying to get rid of.

I was going back forth between L and XL. I’m size 38 waist and have dropped some weight so I went with the L hopefully I made the choice.
 
I'm 6'1 230# athletic build with 36" pant size and got an XL. I was originally thinking of going with a L but when I measured my "waist" it actually measures more than 36" (at the navel) so I went with XL. I haven't sat in mine in the tree yet but it feels sloppy to me on the ground with way too long of straps after adjustment and the buttox webbing is bunched up so I'm concerned of snagging on briars and limbs walking into the swamps of Mississippi. Also, the lower attachment point for the leg straps extends onto my quads so far it hinder flexing my leg forward at the hip but the one on the waist belt helps to hold up the rear. I'm also concerned because I've gathered that a larger saddle with make your bridge longer and this could impede shooting. Wish they had better ways to explain proper fit and measuring, possibly a diagram, beforehand especially since you can't try them on at Sporting good stores.
 
Just ordered a XL. Per Tetherd they recommended XL with the 38” waist. With added layers for cold months it was probably a good move. Also ordered the predator platform. Looking forward to getting up there in this set up.

Saddle came last week, platform supposed to be delivered tomorrow, ordered both on 9/19. 3-4 week turn around. Not bad I dont think considering how slammed they are. I too am looking forward to getting into saddle hunting. Tethrd seems like a good group of stand up guys.
