Tethrd One Stick Gen 3's - Season review so far

the seller does this to sell item at cheaper price but then makes it up in shipping. This way they owe less to eBay as a seller since it’s considered shipping and handling.

Never thought of this. Gonna have to start doing this. eBay takes like 13% of the sale price or something crazy like that.

They also show video of them sewing the saddles on their current website like they are right here in the US just sewing away daily. It’s just marketing. It’s easy to have one or two pallets for a promo video.
You mean the video of Carl sewing up a Phantom? You do know the Phantom is indeed sewn in the USA, right?

Off topic but somewhat on, heck this thread is all over the place!!!

When online shopping do you want to see the total price or shipping separate? Personally I hate having to fill out all my info to get a total shipped price.

Shipping seems to be the point where companies try to screw you. If there is free shipping… I know the price… I am hitting the submit order button. If I get to the final stage of check out and see some high shipping charge I am getting aggravated and closing my browser.

I ship plenty of stuff and I know high volume shipping is cheaper than the price I get and if they are charging way higher than it would cost me to ship. I am not ordering anything from them on principle alone.

I generally won't order from a place that requires all my info before giving me a shipping estimate. All they need is a zip code to estimate

This was in the past. Ebay got smart to this, they are now taking from TOTAL money that was paid. This include the shipping cost. I remember years ago people were selling EVERYTHING for .99 cents and charging insane shipping to trick Ebay.

This was a customer request. I personally couldn’t get around where I hunt with anything on my saddle. It’s a must to have sticks vertical & a slim profile for me.

Yeah, I never even hike with my saddle on, but looks like you could handily pull them from the talons while you climb with a setup like that.

That's crazy. I only bought the three sticks and it was like 2 or $3. I'm going to measure the stealth strips when I get them and post dimensions on here so people can order rolls instead.

Sounds like if folks contact reps at Tethrd, they may be able to do better on shipping when something weird like $17 to ship 4 stealth strips comes up. If you have questions try @Reagan H. or post in the vendor section or just call Tethrd probably.

I really want to give these Gen 3 sticks a try. I was thinking of ordering some during the off season. The one thing that is kinda holding me back is that I would really like to run my versa aider with them. I'm just not sure how easy it would be to change out that non weight bearing rope button with one that is weight bearing and use it to attach the versa aider. What do you think? Is it possible?

Backwoods mobile gear single step adjustable step length GCone is the best moveable aider I found to use with the tethrd sticks IMO

Can you link which one you are referring to. I get confused with their names.

Thanks brother, I will definitely keep this aider in mind. I was just figuring that I already have the versa aider and it works really well, that I would just use it. However this looks good also and you can never have too many aiders. I really like Backwoods Mobile Gear, they are making some great quality stuff.

I'm not a fan of keeping an aider stuck on my boot. I want to be able to kick the thing off my foot if SHTF.

Does this aider function well with the foot loop opened up and taking your boot in and out of it with each step?
