Tethrd One Sticks ..... take my money already

I agree... I just sold the carbon pros because I can’t get anything more than a big toe on the steps... if they would’ve made the steps 4” they would have nailed it but with steps that close to the tree I have a hard time believing anyone wearing size 13 would enjoy that...

I currently have beast sticks and size 11 boots. I have no issues at all with the 3.75" deep steps on them- until I'm climbing a really big tree. Like a tree that is almost too big for a stock buckle strap to go around.. With a big tree I gotta almost turn my feet sideways as I go up. With normal sized trees, no issues and I can't imagine the tethrd sticks will be an issue on them either, but I might be a little concerned on bigger trees.

If these would came out shortly after they were announced, I would have pulled the trigger on them and sold my beast sticks. Now, I think I'm just gonna hold onto my beast sticks for a few more seasons.

That’s why you turn your foot a little so your toe isn’t straight into the tree. It’s helps that the steps are angled out too.

If you want sub 1lb sticks they probably won’t have a lot of foot room. Further from the tree you get the more leverage on the step and the stronger the stick and standoff will need to be.
 
I stand like a penguin (?) on even Hawk Heliums. Allow the sides of the foot to wrap around tree and put the step in the middle of the foot. This adds stability when leaning back into lineman's. I wear size 12 and I guarantee I can make these work.

Me too. The helium offset is just the right amount for me, I wouldn't want any more.

Yeah, I don't climb trees I can't reach around with my arms, so I can always position my feet so they hug the tree.
 
Just sensed a disturbance in the force, got an auto email a few minutes later from tethrd saying the status of the sticks changed to being back in stock. But you click the link to the site and now you get a 404, cant even see their page now. I think they are messing with us

I got the same email at 9:41...same thing happens when I visit their page. I bet the option will be up shortly

Ugggh. Same.

Now I’m going to whine a bit:

This approach to a new product release is incredibly lame. Prolonged waiting despite verbiage like ‘VERY soon’ etc., then this email. Not cool. It’s all very turn off ish. My customer satisfaction level is about as low as it can get. And I’m being kind/professional.
