Tethrd pack

Yeah....nope. I couldn't believe it, at the 7:31 mark in the video.....

“Nobody ever says what the problems are with their gear. Every gear manufacturer says ‘Oh, it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread; it’s perfect – it’s everything you could wish and dream for’ – when that’s never the case.“

Like Tethr’d has said what the problems are with their gear in the past….NOT.

I wish it had a waistbelt. If for nothing else to make it clip around the tree nice. And you can't really talk about carrying any kinda weight without a waistbelt. Plus they just help keep the pack from shifting around.

It's a nice pack but it just doesn't look setup well to carry a platform and sticks without the Predator pack and adding a bunch of extra straps.

No better than a dozen other packs at least.

I ordered the fast pack with the predator pack add on to try and see if it fits my needs. They did a good job with the videos……enough to make me want to test it out. I do like the size and modular capabilities of adding and customization with different pouches and pockets. We will see once I receive the pack and start testing and manipulating. Weighs 3 pounds supposedly which is a full pound less than my Elberstock X2.

They say it’s made in the USA…..Are they manufacturing or do they have an established pack manufacturer making these for Tethrd? Not that it matters but just curious.

I currently use the Elberstock X2 pack and have been mostly satisfied. This pack has fit my needs mostly out of any pack I have used. It’s is relatively quiet material wise during normal temperatures but it does get noisey/crinkly at 35 degrees and below( which I don’t like but deal with). It also has the ability to compress down when not hauling in extra layers or gear or expand out when those items are needed. It also has enough heft to pack out some meat on the first walk out if you are breaking your deer down in the field. It also has aluminum stays for support that keep the pack off your back for warmer weather. Weighs over 4 pounds bare packs though.

Truth. Waist belt is designed to carry the weight on your hips, not hanging from your shoulders. That’s why you tighten the waist belt first - to take the weight. No waist belt is a huge miss.

In one of the videos they talk about the decision to leave the waist belt off…. They also show how to add a minimalist waist belt to the pack that’s what you would like. Will the minimalist waist belt they show in the video shoulder the load of any weight….I guess we will see.

With all the lashing points shouldn't be any issue to add a belt if needed...u can pick up the surpluse molle battle belts for cheap. I'm not a fan of backpacks but this 1 does seem really well thought out...too bad it isn't priced more like the x2

My guess is the pack wasn’t design for weight carry at the hips. If you run a belt it would be at lower belly not hips. 696F8122-80A6-4A66-B440-C96CA72461EF.jpeg
