Tethrd phantom tree saddle

The Phantom is very much improved from the Mantis so that doesn’t make sense. I think it is more growing and maturing as a company and improving efficiencies.

I don’t think they have grown out of their pants so to speak at all.

I agree with you 100% plus they make different products thier whole focus is not on tree saddles. For the record i love my areo hunter kestral flex great product it is a long wait though probably not fault.

Are you referencing the fact that Tethrd has China manufacture some of their products or that Aerohunter produces other gear?

I was listening to a podcast from some who works at areo hunter. From that interview they said they make tree saddles for arborist that are well known for. On the west coast thier are also people who climb tree's just for fun its like a hobby. The tree's are really tall out west. This is also a different type tree saddle areo hunter makes. Areo Hunter doesn't just make one type of tree saddle. Terherd and areo hunter say made America so take for its worth. I don't know how those companies run thier business i am jusy a peaon.

Tethrd makes good quality saddle products. I think they were ready for the onslaught of orders for the Phantom saddles. When they made the Mantis it took off like crazy and it was hard to keep up with demand. Sometimes it takes companies awhile to ship products and there are thing that they can't control.

I agree i bought the HYS Strap its really good product. I really like the phantom and areo hunter kestral flex. I think its possible to likE both. I knew about saddle hunting back in the 90s buy watching John Eberhart DVDs and his books. The problem was no companies were making good tree saddles back then. Trophyline was a not good enough tree saddle period. If their was a good company that made good tree saddles back in 90s it would very popular like is now. I don't why it took so long to happen to be honest.

My mount Rushmore of bowhunters are fred bear Dan Infalt and jon John Eberhart. This question i always wondered about why John Eberhart didn't team up with a engineer design a tree saddle back in the 90s he would made alot of money. If you listen to his podcast and read his books he was always preaching about all the benefits of tree saddles and i agree him. I wonder what reason was.

i dont think hes gonna fit in a phantom. i have a 32 in waist and it fits weird around the waist. really loose on my back. Probably not alot of reviews because they came out after hunting season. nobody wants to sit in a tree all day for no reason other that to give a review. well maybe some people, definitely not me. The waist thing...i dont know if its an issue but its strange how it doesnt fit snug on my back. If hes 12 i think a mantis would fit him fine. its not much different than the phantom IMO. just my 2 cents.

There are a few "reviews" I've seen. They usually start like this, I've never sat in a saddle before, but this is the most comfortable saddle.

For real though, most of the online reviews are still focused on new users, so there's a lot of the basics of what a tether is etc. Not a bad thing, but you're right in that as time progresses I think we will see more reviews and less marketing commercials.

onestringer's video comes to mind as a good one to check out. I'm sure there are others.
