Tethrd Phantom

H2 is a kite copy
Well maybe a mantis copy
But mantis is a kite copy

I know you new here but I cannot let this slide.
History lesson 1
the mantis came to market before the kite.

History lesson 2
The kestrel is a sitdrag copy from 2016

History lesson 3 (most important)
All saddles are a Trophyline copy as far as hunting goes they had the first mesh saddle, first leather saddle, first neoprene saddle.

I don’t own any Tethrd products other than a free hat and a sticker so I cannot speak to the comfort of there saddle.
Aerohunter kestrel is terribly uncomfortable to me.
Aerohunter flex was falling apart at the seams on your first sit. All the black rubber fell off and looks like crap. I know they got there manufacturing issues fixed but to act like there perfect is just plain silly.

So let’s just tell the truth as we know it and not guess and make presumptions we cannot back up with facts.

Comfort is individualized. One mans saddle comfort is another’s torture device

I have heard the prototype was there. I didn’t see it. I’m not sure about this big reveal your talking about. Maybe a couple of guys in a tent somewhere. We’re the “mods on this site” there? Or did they read it on this site? I’ve heard from several guys that Tethrd guys weren’t in the room.
What came to be know as the mantis was already being worked on.
I’m just not understanding you repeating second hand information like it’s fact. I’m not understanding your bashing Tethrd when you say all saddles copied the Kite. When the original Kestrel copies a sitdrag that the founder of Tethrd made?
Just because you keep saying it don’t make it true. Sorry it don’t work that way.

It’s fabric stitched to put your butt in a sling. It’s not rocket science or the cure to cancer. Everything is going to look like a copy since there are just a few ways to do it. Despite the product Tethrd would still be on top due to their aggressive marketing which is the secret to their success.

Im excited to see what tethrd brings to the table. I like their stuff. Some of you people on here like ikeman and squatch are pretty childish/trolls sometimes. Make "saddle hunting" as a whole seem more like a fad than hunting. Main focus is still killin stuff. Calm down

How the H E double hockey sticks did my name get thrown into this?

I’m somehow a childish troll because I complained in a few posts over a week or two about the downhill slide of common decency, civil discourse, and freedom of speech on this forum, then kindly left a single post stating I was taking a several week break, why I felt the need to do so, and that I was hoping to come back to a functional saddlehunter forum when I returned.

You are proving me right...

I don’t even recognize your name, so I doubt I personally interacted with you in any way to get you so peeved off at me.

Stick around 5 or 6 years, then come complaining that I’m a troll.

Now the founder of tethrd made the sitdrag! Lol. Come on Ricky! I think he used a sitdrag as a saddle. And the Kestrel is a copy of a sitdrag???? Far from it in my opinion. Doesn’t even look the same. I think a kite and a mantis share the mesh idea but not much more. Different design. Well, the micro adjusters but we don’t need to open that can of worms again.
And saddles have changed a lot from the old trophylines. They all have there little differences and for some people, that little difference in design could be a big difference in comfort and fit. We are all shaped different so the more options out there the better.
Good thing they kept reinventing the wheel or we would be riding around with stone wheels on our trucks.

So I’m going to go ahead and apologize for starting this bickering back and forth by asking for some advice. Thank you all for your input but I don’t see the point in what it’s turned in to. We’re all deer hunters with one common goal.... we are on the same team here fellas

No, Greg didn’t make the sitdrag. He just put molle and a belt on it and the kestrel came out looking just like it and a Trophyline had a baby.
And the sitdrag is more comfortable.
Me saying that isn’t as outlandish as the bs that’s being spread in this thread.

It wasn’t you Wilson.
It unfortunately has become the status quo around here in the last year or so.

The sitdrag is shaped like a swing. Lol

So, I finally got all the webbing and carabiners in to finish off the Ken molle saddle. I decided to hook it up and hang for a little bit to test the comfortability, but it is raining out. So, I rigged up a hook in to a door jam instead. My wife came home from work while I was in it and just kinda stood there dumbfounded. The first thing out of her mouth was
"Well, it's not the worst swing a wife can come home to find her husband in"

What's the funniest spouse reaction you have that is hunting related?

Let’s bring some levity into this...
here’s a post that should make some people laugh. I doubt any of the new guys have read that thread.

Is the phantom release date still set for the end of February? I swear I saw the 20th somewhere. What is the date?
