Tethrd Phantom

I dont have the time to read 17 pages of discussion...sorry if this has been asked a thousand times. How hard is this gonna be to get on the first batch? secondly, is late feb still the release "date"

Word is 1000 on hand and end of Feb is still a go. They said they will announce ahead of time to get prepared!

Word is 1000 on hand?
I wonder if they’ll actually sell out. I guess there will Be enough people that don’t research and just follow hype.

What research have you done? What sDdle do you like?

I bet they sell all 1000 (right away). Marketing works

Hype works on the youth and uninformed

I’m just now getting into saddle hunting. Of course I don’t know anything about the different brands other than what I’ve seen online. I was waiting on the phantom to come out hopefully this week. Would you recommend trying out a different saddle? I’m not a big guy at all at 5’10” 175 lbs... but of course I’m buying the hype and marketing. It “sounds” like the best option. Am I wrong?

I would suggest finding the nearest meet ups happening this spring/summer and try as many brands and sizes as you can. No two people have the exact same shape bodies or likes etc. Buy the phantom if that is what you want and if it doesn’t check all your boxes sell it for what you paid and try another.

Like you said, you're buying into the hype and marketing. Tethrd is the epitome of what marketing is and in a class of their own. With that said, their products are great but so are the products of other manufacturers. Trying and testing a variety of different saddles will determine what you like and works best for you.

Check out the aero hunter kestrel flex man !
Or the kite
The Tethrd mantis is a kite copy anyways
May as well go to the source
What state are u in?

Difficult to say what the best option is because it varies for everyone. I’m your size and weight and the H2 has been comfy for me. Have no experience with the phantom, so I can’t say if it’s worth the extra $100.

I recommend try before you buy especially since you have a while before next season.

The meetups will be Tethrd centered and u know this

Fortunately there are several options outside of Tethrd, but they probably have the biggest social media presence saddle wise. I'm happy with my H2 for almost $100 less. But it's early enough in the year that you can shop around and still get one in plenty of time before season. Consider getting a used one from the classifieds.

I was going to offer to meet up so u could try the flex but we’re too far apart

If u buy a flex and didn’t like it for some reason u could sell in a heartbeat

If u watch the classifieds u barely see an aero hunter product for sale
They have been making arborist harnesses for 30 years and know what they’re doing

U know i didn’t test it because I’m not on that bro staff
Let’s not play dumb
I’m not a fad or hype shopper
My flex has had adjustable rope bridge way before the phantom
But wait
We picked a specific rope to do it to
Now it’s our idea

Everyone, including you, should use what they want/like. Everything works differently for different folks and that’s why it’s good there are multiple options these days.
