tethrd vs aero hunter

Why do you have so many of the same saddle?

Also, I love that they are just a part of the decor on the wall. My wife is not to that point yet.

He has them on a rotation so when he washes one he has others to use

Also like me, everything he wants ends up being discontinued & then ur out of luck so he has extras for that reason too

I guess I am a soft old hockey player and farmer in my sixties.
I know you are a better hunter than me and likely tougher
My friend. I have never served in the military and support and respect those that have - thank you but have served my country in other ways.

I really wanted to like the mantis because I am really rooting for Greg and Ernies business however to not state how I feel about the mantis would do a small dis service to potential saddle hunters.
I very strongly suggest people try the saddle your interested in first. I have had multiple Canadian saddle hunters try and buy my excess saddles. I have always explained my impressions of the ones I have sold including two mantis saddles which people have purchased with full disclosure from me

I know some people prefer the mantis and that is great but over and over again I see saddle comfort is a very personal thing based on body type and of course how tough you happen to be and I cannot possibly be tough my friend because I even wear crocs but never hunting or to town. And only camo crocs

Just my friendly banter Dave keep using the mantis and I will for sure be using my hybrid and flex this year

I agree, one of the reasons I've liked this site is the banter. I hope you know I'm jostling with you all with "spooning" and other cracks. I mention frequently we are all different.

Doubt I'm Tougher; prettier - yes, smarter- perhaps, ;)

OMG.... even children have learned how to sit on a swing without it riding up their arse. Sit on the straps folks...

Can't help the dudes that want to spoon with their saddles.... oops, I meant cup with your saddle... :)

different strokes for different folks, we all have unique preferences. I for one don't have comfort issues with any of them but I'm not a "cupper" either.

I tend to focus on noise, compactability, freedom of movement, ease of use, weight, strength, etc...

I get that it works for you but on a swing your tether is directly overhead. 90 degree angle so your center of gravity sitting is going to be somewhere mid to high thigh depending how your weight is distributed. In no way ever is a swing going to ride up when the tether is directly overhead. In every tree I've ever hunted my tether is not vertical. Physics was the only high school class I ever received a C grade (senioritis) but I'm pretty sure that the angle of the dangle moves the center of gravity upwards on your body. Thus the complaint by many that saddles always feel like they want to ride up, and the mitigation via the butt cupping effect especially for those of us that fill out our wranglers.

Must be nice..... I sell hunting stuff , blood plasma and whatever else to fund my wife.
Literally paid for an engagement ring by selling a 1982 Jap-strat and a few gallons of plasma. Don't miss that donation clinic.

The way I run my saddles, there isn't a dimes worth of difference in weight or packability (jx3 excluded, obviously). It all boils down to comfort, and the mantis just doesn't win that category for me.

Order of comfort has been, for me:

Jx3
Fleece/ripstop nylon diy saddle
Size 2 Kite
anderson
Size 1 kestrel
Tactisaddle
Mantis/Sitdrag

I sat in a mantis saddle or two at saddlepalooza and they just felt weird. As soon as I bought a sit drag I was like, "ooohhhh, ok." They're both flat, and kinda narrow. At least to my taste.
I like seeing this list as I'm hunting out of a Sitdrag while waiting for my size 2 kite to ship out...

So, how much could a guy get for a couple gallons of plasma. Enough for the squirrel step climbing method and ros ? Lol

$50 for your first donation, and $20 after that. I believe I could donate twice a week.

Not bad pocket money for a college student, but sitting in the lobby with the chem addicts and other cast offs of society was kinda sketchy.
