Had it not been for the Tethrd Team and the infamous "I have a Secret" thread, my brother and I would not have been successful. The quality of these products are second to none! We went all in this year hunting strictly from the saddle, fell down the rabbit hole discovering saddlehunter.com, purchasing and trying just about every climbing method and platforms this creative and genius community comes up with...

On November 4th my brother and I made our annual trip to the Mecca of big bucks and our little slice of paradise in Southern Ohio. My brother and I are both United States Marines and they were taken on November 10th, the same morning and on THE Marine Corps Birthday! Doesn't get much better than this, don't know how we can top it?... Needless to say this was one for our record book and a special hunt for us in so many ways. Not only was this our first season of hunting from a saddle, both of us tagged our first bucks in Ohio after many years of going home eating tag sandwiches (this part of our story I have to give a lot of credit to @JohnEberhart, we read his books, listened to podcasts and applied his tactics. We took a new approach on how we attacked our hunts. Thank You John!). This was a hunt of a lifetime for us and we will relive the story for the rest of our days.

Thanks. Forgot to mention, neither one of us could have got a shot off without the saddle, we were both hanging out of difficult trees, a climber would have been out of the question due to limbs, and stand placement of a traditional loc on would have been difficult or near impossible due to the way the deer came in. We both had to maneuver around the tree and limbs, having to lean away from our trees to get the shots off. The entire time I felt confident and so secure being connected to the harness that I did not have to worry or think about falling, in the heat of the moment I didn't have to think about footwork/placement on the stand/platform. It was an awesome feeling to only focus on the shot and not worrying about the limited range of movement from my traditional tree stand platform. The Predator platform and Ameristeps were a deadly combination on this hunt!

Tried to send a thank you email to you guys at Tethrd but I kept getting an error stating the email couldn't be delivered to that email address. Just fyi, not sure if I was doing something wrong on my end, but I tried several times??
