The hunting public blurred saddle????

Well for those that have been around long enough Bobby Boswell started this when Tether'd released their saddle first (He made a lot of public accusations and was why he left). It is brought up many times since and now in more subdued terms like Aerohunter was first before mantis sewed their first saddle. None of which is true.
So you say "people need to stop accusing tethrd of copying"...and when pressed you can come up with only one example? And that one dating to like a year and a half ago???:tearsofjoy::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::tearsofjoy:

Gents I’d assume it had to do with brands and logos. If tethered isn’t a sponsor then they Blurr our the logo to not give them free advertising

see it a lot with cooking shows

You all think there is something they can do to help with there saddles riding up? Seems to be the main complaint. I can get comfortable enough in mine but I'm going to be trying something different for next season.
The reported vertical movement of the mantis has kept me away from it (that and my predator experience). If they could keep it from sliding up and down, I'd give it a try.

dude I am not going to argue with you on semantics. There was an obvious ref to copying in post #10. It would be nice if this crap would die off as there is room for several saddle companies. If you need a rundown of every post I recommend you get a cup of coffee and use the search function.

So quit with the false accusations. No one is suggesting (with very rare exception - i.e. the bobby situation) that tethrd are just a bunch of copiers. So why do you keep running up this obvious lie?

Nothing wrong with testing and integrating improvements that come from a competitor.

It'll die off when you quit bringing it up. Or when the brainwashed tethrd acolytes quit showing up (which given greg's marketing accumen seems unlikely, so this repeated trend of people falsely lionizing tethrd's gamechanging innovation and being corrected by people who know better will almost certainly continue.)

Your choice how to take it, but take a close eye at who you stand with.

does anyone actually think Tethrd ins't working on there next release? think about that? does Tethrd look like one and done?

If I recall there was a video back in early September with a blurred tethrd saddle as well. One could only imagine that a saddle company could have many different iterations of one or several prototypes out there. I think there were like 8 different kestrel prototypes before the design was finalized. So whatever is in that video is either a tethrd prototype, someone else’s prototype, or a diy saddle. Since they are on the tethrd pro staff I would assume it’s theirs but most prototypes never see production anyway. Just a whole bunch of speculation.

Agreed, isn’t it also quite possible that blurred gear creates mystery/buzz. Not bad for business.......... I just wish everyone would quit taking sides & getting all riled up every time there’s a Chevy vs Ford type controversy or opinion.

My reply would get the moderator's blood pressure up but it involves a bolt with a sharp end and a Ewe

Dave you are actually wrong on this one buddy

Guys go back and look at the original aerohunter release threads. I, as well as others, made numerous recommendations to Aerohunter and some of them were mesh seats. it was also frequently discussed on the DIY threads. Mesh seats is not new and it sure as heck was not Aerohunters idea. Wasn't Tether'd either. It is all in the archives for those that want to read but to think Tether'd copied anyone is ludicrous, they listened and took part in the DIYs and beat Aerohunter to the punch - same thing for the platforms.

Doubt they are 1 and done, but how do you improve the "the lightest, least bulky, most versatile, and safest elevated hunting system in the world"?

Do you tweak the existing product and update on a somewhat regular schedule to get consumers to "upgrade" like Apple? Do you go the opposite direction and make a Heavy version? Add in the growing competition, finite number of hunters that will use/consider saddles and the product already brought to market and it makes you wonder what else can be done to keep the engine running. That goes for any saddle maker. I've used my sit drag for a season, but once I find the commercial offering I'm happy with I don't see myself owning multiples. I also don't see one wearing out if stored properly. Now climbing methods are a different story. Judging by all the methods I've tried and own, I think I like climbing trees better than sitting in a saddle.

There will be some crow served up in the future.....hope those that ordered clean their plate :grinning:

I did not and will not say they copied anyone but the idea was hatched when Carl came to Saddlehunter after saddleplooza. Yes, All of us southern guys were asking for a minimalist mesh seat before anyone had one but the old trophyline, I was here, seen it, lived it with you. I just think the timeline your using is skewed, just a little bit.

I'm sure they are working, testing to answer all the consumer complaints and input to make the newest greatest saddle on the market

Puh-lease, dude! Tethrd made saddle hunting what it is. Never even herd of this tactasaddle thing. Why would the most successful saddle company of all time need to copy anybody??????

Nobody had even DREAMED of a platform to actually stand on, or a mesh saddle before TETHRD did it. Whatever they come up with. Itll be new and original like everything they do.

My Trophyline from 2007 is mesh...
