The phantasm is born

I’m not Wayne but I have done this build as well. I used 1” tubular webbing around both lineman’s and tether loops.

Thanks for reply!
Did you put anything inside the tubular to hold shape? Or just sleeve the inner w/ the outer 1”.

Was thinking of putting some 3/8 rope in lineman loop and sewing in place.

Thoughts?
TIA

I did it 42” long but could have lost an inch but it’s not hindering anything.

Thanks for the response. I’ve haven’t hung in mine yet but I changed my prusik to the same hitch as the triad bridge uses. I can’t remember the name off the top of my head but it appears that it will release much easier than the prusik.

I put three zip ties in each side of mine to give it some support to hold the shape.

I used a cable with cores and then shrink wrapped it to keep it really rigid, regards wayne

I did not put anything in the lineman’s loops seems to be very sturdy when you see it up .... I will be adding some reflective fabric to the top outside of loop , to help with positive hook up in the dark - will post pics ...:)

I’m gonna try this for a bit then try a distel and Swabish (sp) hitch to see what will work best with a tender ...:) and feels safe !

I have a roll of goretex material. I think it’s real tree pattern. It’s about 4 foot long and probably 100 yds or so on the roll. I also have a roll of the old style military camo. The old green, black, and light green pattern. It’s the regular material not the goretex. About the same size. I’m wondering how well the goretex would work for a saddle. I believe it’s a little stretchy. I don’t remember. I’ve had this stuff for years. I may have to pull it out and see what I can make with it.

... omission ....
having to build saddles we don’t have anything like this at home
... omission ....
We're on the same boat...
Even here in Italy nothing is found about SH...
At least in almost all of Italy it is allowed to use the bow to hunt.
Only in four regions it was banned from years... :sob:

I am following and evaluating the solutions adopted with great interest ...
after that you just have to remedy the necessary material ...
who can sew at home I have it (my young wife)
only that ... seeing the layers that are to be joined ...
we should go to her sister to sew the whole thing (she has an Industrial Juki).
For now I will just study what to do ....

Great beautiful creations anyway ;)

Alrighty then bits arrived just missing delrin balls lol, anyhoo progress tonight

Hello Wayne
Have you finished this project? I’d be really interested to see how the final product turned out. From what I’ve seen so far they look awesome. Also I’d like to be one of your mates if you’d be keen to make an Aussie one of these

Hi yes I finished the saddles I didn’t get a pic of the real tree version but very happy with how they are, as are my friends, I don’t know what else I could do to make them any better and happy with how the design turned out, I have been asked to make another which I have agreed to and that is almost complete.
I will try and get updated pics to add here, regards Wayne.
