The Sladder… ABSOLUTE BEST Climbing method

I'm sure once you update the specs, the info will be available, but... What's the main difference between the HD vs. UL, and how was the weight difference achieved?

Has anybody been notfified that this is up for sale now? I signed up a week or so ago and have heard nothing further.

Unfortunately we have run into some supply chain issues. We are not sure when we will have them available but will provide an update once we know.

Anyone got their hands on this system? Seems like they weren't able to get the items made?

The Sladder Climbing System will be available for preorder some time this weekend. Note that there is a 7 foot version and an 8 foot version. To determine your length, place a measuring tape against the wall and with your feet flat on the ground, reach up as high as you can on the tape. If your finger tips reach anywhere up to 7 foot, order the 7 foot version... anything over 7 foot, order the 8 foot version. If you are close and are unsure... go with the 8 foot version, you'll just have some extra length hanging on the bottom, be sure not to step on it when attaching the Sladder to the tree.

This is a genius. Well done @grayskwerel. Solves the problem of kick outs with aiders and is only used going up which is much safer than trying to use aiders to go down.

I also believe it will pair well with SRT. You already have a rappel rope and descender using SRT. With this system I would go in with presets in mind using SRT and if I need to move to a tree without presets I could use this system as a super lightweight second climbing method.

With that said, I'm still a bit skeptical of having to go around branches with my linesman belt in the middle of the ladder. My initial thought is to clip my bridge straight into the closest ladder step to unclip my LB and move it around the branch. @grayskwerel if you have any advice on this, please let me know.

The only way to know if it works well is to try it out myself. So order placed.

Great work @grayskwerel! That’s how you do a clean and concise demo! I know it’s been a year plus in the making getting it to market but it’s been fun to see an authentically unique climbing method be taken from conception to market. It is apparent you have spent a lot of money and time getting this thing right. The end product looks very clean and professionally done. I hope you have great success with this endeavor.
