Things you have bought that turned out to be not worth the cost or were a waste of money?

Things You Bought and disliked. Gear, Products, etc. who's usefulness was short lived or turned out to be a waste of money.

Almost every pair of gloves I have ever bought. I ended up loosing, dropping or forgetting them in the woods.
So I had my wife sew a pair of gloves together with an long elastic between them. And now they are attached together permanently. Each glove hanging from each sleave in a coat of my choice. Pull the gloves and elastic out when I want to switch coats.

Benchmade Altitude was about the worst knife I have ever bought.
Crispi boots almost killed me.
Timber Ninja sticks were like standing on a spring board.
I’m sure I’m missing a few items. Probably a lot of things but these came to mind.

Cheap back packs. Any kind of scent lure product. Camo clothing with no insulation value. Method saddle.

Preference points for certain species in specific states have been a waste a money. (Some of them, not all of them. Didn’t know which ones were which when I started playing the point game.).

Tethrd mantis.

Expensive knives.

Pac boots.

Anything made by Hawk. Total junk.

Each and every vehicle newer than 6-8 years old.

@CooterBrown ’s wife.

I generally let other people be the Guinea pigs on new gear. Been bow hunting long enough that waiting (or doing without) for another season on any individual product won't change the outcome of any particular hunt or season.

The benchmade bugout is pretty bad also… I have to constantly take it apart and clean it and polish the washers because it gets hard to open. It doesn’t leave the nightstand now.

I see you haven't been bitten by the Spyderco bug? Best knives in their price range, just some people consider them ugly because of the Spydie hole. They invented the pocket clip, one handed opening, and several locking mechanisms.

Worst money spent:

All the times I didn't get what I wanted and instead got something that was on sale/cheap.

All the insulation schemes I tried to come up with prior to going full goose down.

All the base layers and liner socks I bought prior to going full synthetic with antistink silver treatment.

LW climbing sticks....heavy (4-pk) But I was new to hang-ons
Lots of gimmick stuff
Knife with a gut hook (forget brand) More rip than cut

Best climber I ever bought and still have...API Bowhunter. VERY comfy ZZzzzz
Very happy I found saddle hunting, but still figuring stuff out... $$$$
