Thinking About Self-Filming

I received my tactacam in the mail today. I'll have to take some time to mess with it this weekend and I'll try to upload a video or two to show how shots look. I don't have the head mount yet, just the stabilizer at this point.

You will definitely want to get the TAP xl booster. You will see when you take some videos with bow mount and no booster

Here’s some footage from opening day of turkey season. I am using Tactacam 5.0 on the barrel and 5.0 wide angle in the field. This was my first hunt with the tactacams set up. The bow has more vibration for sure and you 100% need lighted nocks.

Good stuff. Did you have those both zoomed in all the way using the 8x zoom?

The barrel cam was on the zoom setting the field wide angle was on 4K no zoom

I finally got around to messing with mine today. I installed it on my recurve and took 3 shots, only to find that my stabilizer mount on the bow points slightly down, so the video was nothing but grass. However, I was able to observe a few things:

- Mic seemed good. A neighbor was pressure washing their deck and you could hear it clear as day
- Vibration was pretty crazy. I plan to use a head mount with this thing anyways, but holy crap
- Camera was incredibly easy to use
- Tactacam app, not so much. The camera seemed to freeze up when I was viewing through the app. I already have an SD card reader that I can plug into my phone, and that'll probably be the route I go. Much easier.

Yeah I’ve found the same thing with the app.
