  • We've been working hard the past few weeks to come up with some big changes to our vendor policies to meet the changing needs of our community. Please see the new vendor rules here: Vendor Access Area Rules

Thought i knew what i wanted.

Kind of getting tired of the shameless plugs for people’s products. Can’t tell if this is a vendor issue or what. And the “mines better or more advanced or what have you and what ever snake oil someone is selling.

my advice is buy something with a good rep, a long lasting product that, and hasn’t just sold 6. After all the your life and the ability to walk should be considered. In the end it’s buyer beware.

I hear ya brother. You are not alone.

On a side note: Go Gators... I work in Gainesville.

You have a good point. I can't argue with that. Must saddles appear to be an advanced improvement of the sitdrag. Although I do agree with @iamcorey , the G-string design, is what stands out the most. *End quote...* And like it or not, peer review, is what the designer needs to hear. Telling the truth is harder than just lying to not hurt someone's feeling.
Peer review from "peers" who haven't tried sonething is largely just a marketing review.

I would wait a minimum of two weeks but would try to attend a meetup and try several models. It takes me several half day to all day hunts to determine if I’m going to live a saddle but only a few minutes to decide if I’m going to hate it.

Anyone in twin cities area able to meet up between the 20th and 23rd of jan.
I'm just west of the cities. If you haven't seen the new phantom you should look it up. I dont have a saddle yet but will order that one when it's available. I'd be happy to meat up if you are nearby again.

The mantis is great but they fixed all the major complaints with the new phantom.

Good luck!

I’ve never sat in a mantis or H2, but I hear many say they weren’t comfortable in the mantis and I hear quite a few that found comfort in the H2.

Your right. Sorry. It’s just exhausting

See you in a tree, Ricky
I get people have different opinions and lots of people just say one product is better than another and the only one to buy. My intention with this post was looking for help to try a physical saddle before i buy one. I dont have anyone i know personally that has one i can try before i buy.

I deleted a response I had to another member, not you.
You are on the right track.

It’s a stab in the dark. I don’t believe a bad saddle exists, just different stokes for different folks. I love my Ambush Pro, is it better than a Kestrel, or an H2, or a Mantis? Nope, just different. They are all huntable tho, even if you buy one that isn’t perfect (they none are), you can still make a season with it and sell. No matter what though I promise if you buy one you will question what the others have, literally every detail.

I know there are always gonna be the i wonder if this other brand woulf be better. More than anything just wanted to get my hands on one before buying. Kinda in the middle of sizes and would like to know which way to go. Gonna be meeting jay_disarray today if it works out. My road has 4 foot high drift all the way across it right now.

kind of sucks the weather wasnt more forgiving today so you could actually spend some time hanging from my H2, but at least you got to hold it in your hands and sit in it anyways.
