Thoughts on binoculars

This is why I just use my rangefinder. I'm in a tree, in the woods with a weapon that has a max range (my limit) of 30y. My rangefinder is 4x and all that I really need. If I was doing a long range stalk or glassing mountain sides, quality bino's would be a must but not for how I and suspect most bow hunters operate.
I carry one as well however it's not enough magnification for my purposes. It's quite open where I hunt. I can see a over a 1/2 mile from some of my trees.

I've tried glassing with monocular and my rangefinder. Somehow it just seems wrong. Maybe it's a scar from long watches as underway lookout in late teens.
