Tired of Utilibridge?

So I think I have the bridge you guys are talking about. Amsteel inside Amsteel and a continuous loop Amsteel used as a prusic. Its a 2 handed adjustment standing on my platform, nowhere as easy as my whoopie sling one. I found i needed to adjust it tonight, hip pinch cause bridge was to short. Glad I had the option.

Thats a utilibridge. Mine bites down tight and it takes a lot of tugging to break it loose sometimes.

No I trust the webbing but not my ability to tie/hook it up in a way that I know will hold onto my saddle. I trust my spliced amsteel girth hitches on both ends. Just don’t know a good attachment for webbing.
Those load rated try slides that Dano sells are a great attachment for a webbing bridge. I hunted with them when I used a Kestrel and they never budged an inch. And if you still worry about them slipping, you can always double over the and thread the tag end one more time. It ain't going anywhere.

I never made sense of an adjustable bridge especially on a prusik. 2 handed adjustment makes zero sense to me. But i have been using an 8mm bridge with a mechanical and I have adjusted it depending on tether height. Sometimes I set the tether higher or lower than other times and have shortened or lengthened the bridge to accommodate.

At hunting height my bridge is always about the same and playing with the length never seems to impact comfort much for me even at extremes. I do like the adjustable bridge for walking with the saddle on though, tighten it up all the way and it's one less thing to snag on the brush.

I don’t really like an Amsteel either. Oplux is my favorite bridge. Right now I just have a figure 8 on each side. May try the duck thing but I think I am going to make mine like the latitude bridge. That was my favorite commercially available bridge.

Zero metal.
